The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivionwas a janky game back in the day, andOblivion Remasteredis no exception. It’s only been a few days,but we’ve already seen players attacked by hordes of angry goblins, completely nonsensical conversations between NPCs, andeven voice acting bloopers from the original have made their way to the remaster. It’sthe goofy mess that we all know and love, and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
What with the game being so faithful to the original, even right down to the bugs and unintentional gameplay exploits, a lot of silly stuff that you could do has translated over rather seamlessly. One of these little exploits allows you to run at super speed, and all it involves is guzzling down enough skooma to take down an elephant.
Oblivion Remastered Fan Guzzles Skooma To Run At Super Speed
When I say super speed, I mean at a pace that would make The Flash feel inadequate.A Reddit user called Taylorthe117was the first to find out that this little exploit had made its way to Oblivion Remastered, as they shared a video to the Oblivion subreddit of of themselves speeding around Skingrad, smashing into every single wall they come across, since they can barely control themselves.
In the post, Taylorthe117 explains that they used console commands to spawn 500 bottles of Skooma, and then drank them all to stack the speed fortification element of the drug. Sure, they may have taken a whopping hit to their intelligence, so much so that they couldn’t even cast a fireball, but who needs to be smart when you can roll around at the speed of sound?
Unfortunately, since they use console commands, this isn’t something you can do on Xbox or PlayStation, but it’s almost nostalgic to see an Oblivion player breaking the laws of physics for absolutely no personal gain whatsoever. Now all we need to see is a player jump from one end of the map to the other in one leap, and I can sleep soundly at night.
