Summary

Oblivion Remasteredisvery faithful to the original game, so it’s no surprise that we’re already seeing peopletry to complete challenge runsjust as they did in the original.

Now, one player has already pulled off the remarkable feat of beating the main story without killing anyone, sort of. Their kill count is zero, meaning that the game did not recognise any of their kills. So as far as the people of Cyrodiil are concerned, this Hero of Kvatch was a pacifist.

With This Build, You Can Beat Oblivion Remastered As A Pacifist

This challenge run was beaten by Reddit user Pluzle, who shares a screenshot of their character records, showing that no people or creatures were killed during this playthrough.

Pluzle shared the build they used to pull this off in the comments. They say that you need togo all-in on magic. As for specifics, Pluzle shares the following: “Restoration to stay alive and buff allies. Alteration to open doors and buff allies. Illusion to make enemies fight each [other] and go [invisible]. And athlet/acrobat to just ignore threats and to speed things up.”

Others in the comments point out that kills made by your summons will count towards your own kill count, so that isn’t a reliable method.

Of course, this still means that those who get in your way have to die - you’re just getting creative with it. Either they’re killed by a follower of yours, each other, or the environment, should you manage to lure someone into taking fall damage. None of those methods should add to your own kill count, so you’re able to save the world guilt-free.
