The Oblivion Remaster Has Been Found On Virtuos' Website Once Again

This latest discovery was found by ArrowToTheKnee23 over on the Oblivion subreddit and can be replicated by anyone. Simply open Bing and search “oblivion site:https://www.virtuosgames.com”. The results will give you a preview of a web page titled “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered”, all but confirming that the remaster is real and poised to be announced soon.

I tried looking up “Oblivion Remastered” on theBethesdasite, but that is much more locked down, so there’s nothing to be found just yet outside of the pre-existing page for the original Oblivion. However, Bethesda hasn’t completely avoided any slip-ups, asthere is a brief reference to the remaster on its siteif you use the Inspect Element tool.

As for Virtuos, that sitegave us the screenshotsthat almost definitely confirmed that the remaster is real. The screenshots have been divisive, however, as some feel that what we’ve seen fails to capture the style of the original release.

So, if we’re now all mostly in agreement that the remaster is real, when is it being announced? Well, the existence of the page suggests it could be unveiled very soon, which could back up claims thatit’s going to shadowdrop at some point in the following week. In any case, it does very much seem that we’ll be playing it soon; it’s just a matter of waiting for Bethesda to finally spill the beans.
