Summary
Oblivion Remasteredhas its share of tough enemies. From Minotaurs to Slaughterfish, and even theannoying as hell Will-o-the-Wisps,Cyrodiil is filled with enemies that can crush youif you’re not prepared. However, one of the most dangerous NPCs in the game is actually a Wood Elf named Umbra.
As part of thequest for Daedric Prince Clavicus Vile, Umra is a powerful warrior who sports some extremely strong Ebony armour. Her sword, also named Umbra, inflicts Soul Trap for 120 seconds and also has a ridiculously high base damage. PLayers are forced to get creative when taking on the Wood Elf, as she can take you down with a few hits.

(D)Umbra Ways To Die
If you still have doubts about how strong Umbra is, one Redditor has showcased it via their post. “I thought it would be funny to see how many guards she could take on,” they said. “She’s currently cleared three districts and is casually walking district to district killing everyone. She even stopped being aggressive towards me. This is wild. It took the combined forces of the arena combatants to finally take her down.”
Other players immediately rushed in to help, with the strategies they used to take down Umbra. “I literally just ran her through the traps in her dungeon and they killed her,” said one comment. Of course, this wouldrequire you to constantly bait her into traps without getting hit yourself. If that’s not your thing, others suggested cheesing the fight – “I sat on the pillar and summoned scamps and fireballed her for 8 minutes.”

Others suggested drowning her in the nearby lake. “Once down to the bottom of the lake she’ll only start to swim up once she starts taking damage,” said another comment. “So if you are deep enough she will die on her way back up.” Of course, you’ll need a potion or item that lets you breathe underwater.
Of course, if none of this works for you, you’re able to always just reduce the difficulty for the fight. However, getting creative is what Oblivion is all about, so I’m sure you can figure out another way of defeating her.
