Summary
Pokemon Legends: Z-Agot a release date announcement earlier today, dropping completely out of the blue to tell us thatwe’ll be running around Kalos again on October 16 later this year. Alongside the announcement was a lovely piece of art that showcased various Mega Evolutions that will be included in the game, as well as what appears to be a battle between the two protagonists and a mystery opponent.
Upon closer inspection, fans noticed that there’s a strong possibility that this mystery opponent is actually one of the more popular characters in the Pokemon series, and will be a joyous sight for those who played Pokemon X & Y’s post-game. Yes, fans believe that this mystery woman is none other than Looker’s adopted daughter Emma.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A Is Officially Bringing Back Emma
First spotted by a Twitter user called Lewchube, the woman taking part in the battle has quite a few similarities to Emma, the biggest of which being her bangs. She seems to have had a haircut, but her bangs are almost identical to Emma’s in Pokemon X & Y. It was also pointed out that she appears to be wearing the Expansion Suit under her jacket, which is the suit she wore in Pokemon X & Y to become Essentia.
It’s also worth pointing out that even early Pokemon Legends: Z-A trailers have been teasing this potential return,as the first proper trailer for the game featured a shot of Looker’s office. That’s where Looker leaves Emma after the events of Pokemon X & Y’s post-game end, so it stands to reason that she might play a part in Pokemon Legends: Z-A.
Unfortunately, we have no idea whether Looker himself will feature in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, but that is a reunion that I would pay good money for. Please, make it happen Game Freak, I need some closure.
