Summary
Pokemon TCG Pocketis about more than just collecting and battling. There are also missions to complete for trainers who choose to accept them. Some of those missions are harder to complete than others sincePokemonkeeps them hidden, including one that will land you a very rare Gholdengo emblem once completed.
The Pocket mission is called Gimmighoul Collection, and while it has been known about since the Shining Revelry expansion dropped last month, we may have our first example of someone completing it.Reddit user u/maxmaythorevealed they have completed the challenge, bringing the receipts to prove it, with the mods forthe r/PTCGP subredditgiving them a rare pass despite showing off as it’s the first time they’ve seen proof of someone completing the challenge.

As for why the Gimmighoul Collection challenge is so hard to complete, it requires you to collect 99 one-diamed Gimmighoul cards from Shining Revelry. While the card has the most common rarity, getting 99 of any card in Pocket is either going to take a lot of time or cost a lot of money. The proud owner of a new Gholdengo emblem admitted they spent $200, 875 pack hourglasses, and an undisclosed amount of pack points to accrue 99 Gimmighoul cards.
I’ve been playing Pocket since launch, and the most duplicates I have of a single card is 18 Wooloo. Sick of the sight of that stupid sheep. Can’t imagine having 99 of them.
It Takes 99 Gimmighoul Cards To Get A Goldengo Emblem In Pokemon Pocket
And Somehow, At Least One Person Already Has It
The tricky challenge is a hat tip to what you need to do to get a Gholdengo inPokemon Scarlet & Violet. Trainers must complete the arduous task of collecting 999 Gimmighoul coins before they can evolve one into a Gholdengo. Thank goodness Pokemon Pocket requires just ten percent of that total. We’d be waiting a while to see anyone with that Gholdengo emblem if it had gone for the full 999.
There will likely be more secret missions to come in Pocket as this is at least the third to be added during its first five months. The game rewards those with a card representing each of the original 151 Pokemon, provided the cards are pulled from the Genetic Apex set, with an immersive art Mew card. There’s alsoa Garchomp emblem waiting to be unlockedvia a secret mission in Space-Time SmackDown, and while difficult, it’s not nearly as hard to get as the Gholdengo.
