Summary
Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocketis no stranger to its meta shifting. It’s happened almost every month since its release, with the developers dropping new expansions on a regular basis. Too regular, some might say.
Although it’s early days, as of right now, the release of theShining Revelryexpansion has given TCG Pocket’s meta another shake-up, and it looks like it could be one of the biggest ones yet.

Giratina ex Has Really Shaken Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket’s Meta Up
Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket’s Shining Revelry was only released last week, so the meta is still in a bit of flux. Players are experimenting with the expansion’s new cards, finding the combinations that they think will be viable going forward, but that hasn’t stopped us from painting a picture of how things may shake out going forward.
Looking atLimitless TCG’sPokemon TCG Pocket rankings, which have analyzed 8031 matches from 33 tournaments since Shining Revelry released, we can see how the meta will start to take shape.

For the past month or so,Palkia exhas been dominant, and for now, that doesn’t seem to have changed too much. It’s the decks that are breathing down its neck that have, with one card in particular looking like it could wreak havoc over the new rotation.
According to Limitless, over these 8,000 matches, Palkia ex and Vaporeon has reigned supreme, with a win rate of 65.52 percent. However, Giratina could be about to cause it some trouble.

The new card features in four of the current top 10 decks alongside Mewtwo ex, with a 61.56 percent win rate, Darkrai ex (in two different decks) with 55.03 and 54.54 percent win rates respectively, and with Magnezone for a 53.09 percent win rate.
While Giratina ex is the new golden child of this expansion, another card, Beedrill ex, may start to see some play. A combination of that and Exeggutor ex is the fourth most successful deck from those 33 tournaments, with a 55.56 percent win rate.

It will be interesting to see how things evolve over the next couple of weeks. Praise Arceus thatGiratina got a card better than its Triumphant Light one.
