Summary
Grand Theft Auto 6will be here before the end of 2025 if all goes to plan, ending what will have been a 12-year run between newGTAgames. If the wait for new GTA is killing you, maybe you can go back and play through some of the older entries in the series. I just wouldn’t recommend you do it in the same way as Gtamen is doing it.
Gtamen is playing through every 3D GTA game and streaming as he goes, but there’s a twist. If he dies, he has to go back to the start ofGTA 3. Yes, that means if the streamer were to make it to the final mission ofGTA 5only to be wasted by an enemy, he would then have to return to GTA 3’s opening mission and do it all over again (thanks,GamesRadar).

As if Gtamen hadn’t already made things hard enough on himself, their self-imposed challenge doesn’t only include the mainline games. It also includes spinoffs such as Liberty City Stories, giving him eight games to make it through without dying. Gtamen hasn’t had to concern himself with those spinoffs yet. The furthest they’ve managed to make it before they’ve died and returned to the beginning of the series' 3D era isSan Andreas.
Eight GTA Games From Start To Finish Without Dying
How Hard Could It Be?
That alone really takes some doing though as those who have played through thePS2era of GTA games will know all too well that they were among the most punishing, but more importantly in Gtamen’s case, the most random. Making it through some ofVice City’s harder missions is one thing. Accounting for how randomly cruel and unpredictable the games can be is something else entirely, and not really something you can prepare for.
While you canwatch Gtamen’s efforts in full on their Twitch channel, and will be able to see what happens next go down live when they continue their quest from March 18, they have shared short compilations ofsome of the cruelest moments so far on Twitter. Taxis really seem to have it out for them with the most painful death so far seeing them flattened by one out of the blue in Vice City. Annoying enough in any capacity, but imagine that resulting in you having to start the game that came before it all over again.

The hope is that should Gtamen eventually make it past San Andreas, things will get a little easier. The final game in the series might even be the easiest if and when they make it to GTA 5. Some have made it through the latest game’s story without even taking a hit, let alone dying, so hopefully it’ll be a breeze for the streamer once they make it to the final leg of what feels like an almost impossible task.
