It’s been a rather busy week forSonyand itsPlayStationbrand. First,news spread about Sony’s own projects involving AI-driven PlayStation characters, including Horizon’s Aloy. Then,a job listing pointed to PlayStation continuing its push into live-service, only this time with an esports-based twist.

Now,via a widely shared agreement, it appears that Sony and Polish video game developer People Can Fly are coming together for a new game titled “Project Delta.”

The agreement,which can be found here, was originally shared on Twitterbefore circulating across the internet. In it, “a prototype for a new video game codenamed Project Delta” is mentioned. That project will be based on an IP that Sony already owns, though it’s unclear what that IP may be. As a final note, it’s being made under a “work-for-hire” model, meaning the team will be working for Sony in exchange for an “agreed remuneration.”

People Can Fly Are Really Busy

Most recently,it was revealed that People Can Fly and The Coalition would be reuniting on Gears of War: E-Day. The team previously served as co-developers on the original Gears trilogy, making them a familiar face for the franchise.

“Returning to collaborate on the next chapter of this legendary saga is both a privilege and an exciting opportunity to build upon the intense, visceral action and rich storytelling that fans have come to love,“CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski said.

Elsewhere,as noted by GameSpot, the teamis working with Krafton on “the production of a new game mode, code-named Project Echo, for one of Krafton’s existing titles.“All of these developments existdespite a reported 120 layoffs in late December. Ultimately, only time will tell what Sony has in mind, but it certainly does sound intriguing.
