In case you might’ve missed it,Super Saiyan 4, which was long considered to be a non-canon transformation of Goku, has since been made cannoninDragon Ball Daima. It was a rather monumental moment forDragon Ball Zfans,especially considering Daima is creator Akira Toriyama’s final work before his untimely passing.
Now, with Super Saiyan 4 back in the minds of anime fans, one fan thought it would be best to pairDonkey Kongwith the famous transformation.
Indeed,a new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate modtakes Donkey Kong and gives him the signature SSJ4 red hair and fur, along with the ginormous hands that Daima added. Unfortunately, DK won’t be blasting Kamehameha waves, but it is a rather neat addition.
It’s A Super Saiyan 4 Revolution
Naturally, Super Smash Bros. isn’t the only spot where players have decided to add Super Saiyan 4. Right after the episode went live,various Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero players issued a bounty to anyone who could add the mini version of Super Saiyan 4 Goku into the game.
Of course, within hours,that bounty was handily filled with a mod that looks like something Bandai Namco would’ve personally added. That’s not to mentionthe creator was also working on a Vegeta version, too.
If that wasn’t enough,another gamer got the bright idea of replacing Sonic in Sonic Unleashed with the GT version of Goku and swap the nighttime Werehog transformation into Super Saiyan 4. All that is to say that Super Saiyan 4 is experiencing a moment right now in video game culture, and where there is an avenue to transport it, then gamers are taking full advantage of the now canon transformation.
