Euphoriaseason two left its ending open, with it unclear for a while if theHBOshow would return. As well as Lexi’s iconic play based on the life of her friends (“is this f***iing play about us?!), it follows Rue as she leaves school and sets up a timeskip for the potential season three. Now, we have a leak with some hint at what this direction might be.
Despite the careers ofSydney Sweeney, Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Hunter Schafer taking off in the three yearssince Euphoria season two wrapped, the gang are all coming back for season three. And in the case of Sweeney’s character Cassie Howard, she might be going through a major life change if the latest leaks are any indication.
Does Cassie Get Married In Euphoria Season Three?
Uploaded online yesterday, we see Sweeney on set in a wedding gown, walking down the aisle at a lavish, outdoor wedding. No other major cast members appear to have been spotted, and Elordi (who plays Cassie’s boyfriend Nate Jacobs) had not yet started filming. Season two revolved around Cassie and Maddy (played by Alexa Demie) both dating Nate, straining their friendship. Maddy and Nate had been together since the show began, though Cassie was not the first person he had cheated with.
In the finale, Maddy finally broke up with Nate for good and warned Cassie about getting involved with him. It was left unclear whether Cassie would follow her best friend’s footsteps and ditch Nate, or if they would become a legitimate couple. This wedding leak doesn’t answer that question, but it’s interesting to speculate.
Euphoria often uses dream sequences as part of its storytelling, most notably in the relationship between Rue and Jules, played by Zendaya and Hunter Schafer respectively. Cassie emerged as secondary protagonist in season two after Rue, and withSweeney’s star continuing to rise, it makes sense that season three will give her a lot of spotlight again. If that’s the case, she might also end up with elaborate dream sequences.
Or this could be a legitimate wedding, one that uses the time skip to show that Cassie has either settled down, or is just as rash as ever by rushing into marriage before she’s ready. Either way, it sets Cassie up to continue being one of Euphoria’s most interesting characters when season three returns in early 2026.
