Every singleMinecraftworld is filled to the brim with a nearly endless number of biomes to explore and adventure through, and each one is a blast. One of the things that makes exploring so fun is hunting for and looting structures.
Structures are randomly generated in specific biomes and locations and all add that extra bit of life and excitement to your world. From massive underground cities to humble villages run by Villagers, there are tons of places to explore and find all over your world. They also give you plenty of rewards in the form of loot which can help you, especially early on in your survival world.

Best Shipwreck And Buried Treasure Loot

Sometimes, off the coast of the sea or below the ocean’s square surface, you might spot some strange wooden debris, and upon closer inspection, you will find that these are Shipwrecks. These old ships are very common in the oceans and can rarely be found on the coastline of beaches and always contain a chest filled with some miscellaneous loot that, while not the best, has its uses.
Many Shipwrecks will contain a Buried Treasure Map, which will lead you to a Buried Treasure chest. This means that even if the Shipwreck itself doesn’t have the best loot, you will be able to get a second reward by locating the buried treasure. Buried treasure chests can contain some ridiculously good items, including plentiful amounts of Gold, Iron, and even Diamonds that can help you get an easy start in any world.

Iron / Gold Ingots
Enchanted Books
These abandoned structures are iconic to Minecraft, and you may never be upset at finding one, for they always contain great loot. All around the Mineshaft, you will find Minecarts with chests that contain various ores and items linked with the mines, making them handy to find mid-mining trip. They can be massive in scale, giving you tons of resources and chests, and they will often expose lots of ores too.
Mineshafts are especially good for saving on Iron as they come lined with Rails that you can easily pick up and take home to create your own railway for fast travel. Rails tend to be very expensive, and so having a very easy way to get stacks of them is a blessing and will save you hours of Iron mining.

Shulker Shells (Dropped by Shulkers)
Gold / Iron Ingots
End Cities are the end-game structure you will want to venture straight to after beating the Ender Dragon, as they contain some of the best enchanted Diamond gear you may naturally find, as well as give you access to Shulkers and their shells. That’s not the best thing these strange cities contain, however, as they also have the potential to contain an Elytra.
The Elytra is a game-changing item as it allows you to fly all over your world and get around much easier than before. The caveat is that these only spawn in End Cities that have an End ship next to them, and these can be quite rare. These ships also contain two chests that have more incredible loot outside the Elytra, so you will be stacked after finding just one.

Flint and Steel

Building a Nether portal the traditional way has long become obsolete, thanks to the many Ruined Portals that are littered all over the Overworld. These incomplete portals have the Nether leak into the Overworld and give you easy access to some Nether blocks as well as a chest containing gold tools and armor, and some handy items to help you enter the Nether.
These structures are great, mainly for giving you an almost fully completed Nether portal as well as some nice starter loot. Sometimes the portal will just be missing a few blocks of Obsidian, and so you’re able to actually use a Bucket to enter the Nether before even venturing into a single cave. These structures are super valuable for casual players and a dream come true forspeed runners.

TNT (From under the trap)
No other structure is as classically Minecraft as the great Desert Pyramid Temples. These large sandy structures can be found easily in desert biomes and may seem to have nothing of value to the average player, but breaking the floor in the center reveals a hidden treasure room that is great for the early game.

After avoiding the classic trap featuring a Pressure Plate with nine blocks of TNT below, you can take a peek inside four loaded chests, which can all have some wonderful loot. The more chests a structure contains, the better it often is, as it gives you more chances to get what you want out of the loot table, and with the Desert Temple, you are even guaranteed some bonus TNT blocks.

Block of Diamond (Hidden in a room)
Besides being a prominent location inA Minecraft Movie,Woodland Mansions are some of the rarest structures and some of the best for many reasons. With many floors and countless rooms, there’s plenty to explore and collect while you fight off the hordes of Illagers.

While most rooms will be empty outside their hostile residents, certain rooms that spawn will contain chests with enchanted armor, tools, and items for you to take. The best part of the structure, besides the incredible starter house potential, is actually the Illagers themselves, as they can all drop excellent loot, especially Evokers who can drop valuable Totems Of Undying.
Enchanted Iron Leggings
Amethyst Shards
In the depths of the underground lies the remnants of a long-gone civilization in the form of the Ancient City. This massive structure can generate within the dangerous Deep Dark biomes and contains a giant, grandiose city that spans wide and far beyond anything else in your world.
Deep Dark biomes are always dangerous becausethe Wardenand Ancient Cities turn this up a notch by making Sculk Shriekers spawn even more often, leading to even more Wardens. The many chests in the city do make up for the risk of the Warden, however, as they can contain enchanted diamond tools and armor as well as Enchanting Books of any enchantment and exclusive items such as the Echo Shards.

Ancient Debris and Netherite Scrap / Ingot
Enchanted Diamond Armor / Tools
In the harrowing lava-filled dimension of the Nether, there are plenty of dangers and mysteries in each of the distinct biomes, and a few important structures to find. The Nether Fortress is one of the structures that is required to obtain Blaze Rods and beat the game, but the loot is underwhelming at best. That’s where Bastion Remnants come in to reward your efforts for exploring the deadly dimension. Bastions are ancient Piglin fortresses that are heavily guarded and contain many of their valuable, mostly golden treasures.
One of the best things you may get from the Bastions is the exclusive Smithing Template for the Netherite Upgrade, which is the only way to upgrade your gear past Diamond level to the dominating Netherite level. If you are planning to do a long-term world, then Netherite is a must-have upgrade to make all your best tools and armor last longer, making Bastions essential to visit.
Enchanted Diamond Axe / Chestplate
Enchanted Iron Axe / Chestplate
This copper-coated structure tests your combat skills and rewards you greatly for your efforts. Trial Chambers can be found underground in a variety of biomes and are massive, dungeon-like places that contain many rooms with Trial Spawners for you to conquer. Trial Spawners will spawn waves of hostile mobs and, when all are defeated, you will receive various rewards, including potentially a Trial Key which can be used in a Vault to obtain further rewards.
If you are looking for even better rewards, you can drink an Ominous Bottle to trigger an Ominous Trial, which will put you to your limits by spawning even tougher mobs. This gives you an Ominous Key and access to the Ominous Vaults, which can grant you some of the game’s strongest items. It even exclusively includes the Heavy Core, an item required to craft the powerful Mace.

Nothing will ever be more useful than a village, and it has always been on top since its debut, only getting better with updates. These structures can be found in a wide range of biomes and feature a ton of useful food, gear, and resources for you to “borrow” from the Villagers.
The loaf-crushing Villagers are the best passive mobs in the game, thanks to theirridiculous tradesthat can get you top-of-the-line gear and items. Villages and Villagers can also be used to obtain tons of powerful mob drops by triggering a Raid by drinking an Ominous Bottle, causing Pillagers, Evokers, Vindicators, and even Witches to spawn in waves.
