WithOblivion Remastered, new and old players can visit Cyrodil and take part in the Oblivion Crisis, exploring unique dungeons and saving the empire. After completing the game’s main story, you can still explore the world and finish any quests while being reveled as a hero.

With so much to do across Cyrodil, it can be easy to just wander around picking up stray quests and hoarding loot as you clear random dungeons. If you want the most Oblivion has to offer, then making sure you complete the most iconic questlines and achieve the highest status possible while obtaining the most powerful gear is a must.

10Retrieve The Imperial Dragon Armor

After Martin Septim breaks the Amulet of Kings, becoming an avatar of Akatosh, and defeating Mehrunes Dagon, you are rewarded with a full set of fancy new armor as a reward for your aid. According to Chancellor Ocato, it must be specially commissioned and takes two in-game weeks to make.

While an annoyingly accurate representation of an armorer’s job, you can simply hit the wait button 14 times to get it as quickly as possible. The Imperial Dragon set isn’t the strongest light armor in the game, but it comes pre-enchantedwith resistance to almost everything and is one of the coolest-looking armor sets.

9Become The Gray Fox

With the Oblivion gates shut forever, the Thieves' Guild has a much easier time robbing the rich across Cyrodil, adding plenty of opportunity to continue growing your legend. If you haven’t started the questline yet, you can do so by reading the wanted posters in the Imperial City, then talking to aBeggarwith a high disposition.

Most of the Thieves' Guild quests require a great deal of lockpicking, which, hopefully, by this point, you have stocked up on lockpicks or acquired the skeleton key. After becoming the new Gray Fox, you can commit crimes freely while wearing the mask and take it off to return to being the lawful hero.

By making a Fortify Lockpicking spell, you can auto-attempt lockpicking without breaking lockpicks.

8Attain The Status of Arch Mage

If being the hero of Cyrodil or the Gray Fox wasn’t enough for you, you can advance through the Mage’s Guild to reach the highest level a mage can attain. This comes with your room in the academy, a unique staff, and a personal spellcrafting and enchanting altar alongside access to the Orrery to gain unique, daily powers.

While most of the Mage’s Guild quests are pretty mundane, once you reach the academy, you are tasked with more dangerous quests and get to influence the guild. As an arch mage, you may even order apprentices to follow you around and take the brunt of fireballs and arrows.

7Become The Listener Of the Dark Brotherhood

A questline that can be entirely missed by players unwilling to kill innocents, the Dark Brotherhood has perhaps one of the darkest yet intriguing quests in the game. To start, you need to murder an NPC that doesn’t automatically aggro to you, such as someone in the city or a farm, so bandits and necromancers don’t count.

After sleeping, you will be visited by Lucien Lachance, who instructs you to kill a target to join the brotherhood. What makes these quests the best in the series is that they don’t just want you to hack and slash, but have unique requirements and special rewards for killing targets in fun ways.

6Contract Vampirism

Probably something most players avoided or cured as soon as they got the disease, vampirism comes with many unique benefits as well as drawbacks. After becoming a full vampire, you may get significant bonuses for most attributes, as well as unique spells only available after time without feeding.

The main drawback to being a vampire is that the sun constantly damages you, not allowing you to wait outside or fast travel during the day, while also making some NPCs resistant to speaking to you at all. However, you also get access to a hidden questline that allows you to cure your vampirism, and even someone else’s.

5Rise To The Ruler Of New Sheoth

Part of the Shivering Isles DLC, a portal opens to the realm of Sheogorath, the daedric prince of madness. This location and the following quests are considered to be one of the best in the entire Elder Scrolls franchise, with all new enemies, dungeon types, spells, items, and more.

This DLC even has decent replayability, as your choices impact which quests become available and which side of the realm you reward. By the end of the quests, you get access to unique perks such as powerful summoning spells, servants, as well as a whole castle just for you.

4Obtain Every Daedric Artifact

Through the main quest line, one of your goals is to obtain a Daedric artifact for Martin to help decode the Mysterium Xarxes and open a portal to Paradise. Although you only need one artifact to progress, there are 15 shrines, all with powerful rewardsfor you to claim.

To get the final artifact from Hermaeus Mora, you will need to complete all the other shrines and be at least level 20. While some of the artifacts aren’t great and can even backfire on you, others are some of the most powerful objects in the game and can make you truly unstoppable.

It is recommended that you give Sanguine’s Rose to Martin, as this artifact has a chance of summoning a daedra that attacks you.

3Find The Crusader Relics

Alongside the Shivering Isles is the Knights of the Nine DLC, which has you follow the path of the nine divines, claiming the relics of the Crusaders on the path of good. While the beginning of the quest after visiting the priest in Anvil is tedious, the actual hunt for the relics is well worth the wait.

The armor and weapons themselves are among the strongest in the entire game, and not only come with powerful enchantments but also give you access to unique magical effects and spells. The downside is that you can’t wear the armor if you commit evil acts, but with the Gray Cowl you can easily do both.

2Purchase Every Home

After saving the people of Cyrodil, it only makes sense that your next goal is to become a landlord and buy properties across the many cities of Cyrodil. Overall, there are 12 player homesyou can obtain, and some for free, such as from the Frostcrag Spire DLC or by completing various quests.

These homes range from dusty shacks on the outskirts of the Imperial Waterfronts to entire cave systems and even an underground pirate ship. Hopefully, by the end of the main quest, you have hoarded enough gold to purchase Rosethorn Hall in Skingrad for 25,000.

1Make The Strongest Spells

One of the more unique and memorable mechanics in Oblivion is the spellcrafting altar, which lets you use effects from spells you’ve learned to craft your own. You can affect the type of spell, how long the effect lasts, who it targets, and even stack multiple effects at once.

In early levels, this mechanic isn’t as useful, as you don’t have nearly enough magicka to cast spells more powerful than the ones you’ve learned or with strong enough effects. At higher levels, you’re able to brew some truly broken spells that can do more than just one-shot anything you touch.
