If you want to get a limited five-star character inGenshin Impact, you have to pull for them when they’re featured on the gacha banner. However, every character, even if they’re a five-star, is incomplete without a synergistic weapon since you get the most important stats from them.
The same can be said for Varesa, a five-star Electro character with Catalyst as her weapon. There aren’t a lot of Catalyst DPS units in the game, but she’s not only one of them, but also a great one. You can use these weapons to bring the most out of Varesa’s kit.
8Twin Nephrite
Three Star
While Twin Nephrite might be a three-star, it’snot as easy to get as the other weapons of the same raritysince you’re able to only find it by opening chests. However, if you’ve saved this weapon as you got it through exploration, you can easily get it to refinement five and use it on Varesa.
It provides a decent 15.6 percent Crit Rate after being fully upgraded with anadditional 20 percent ATK and some movement speed when you defeat an opponent. While it’s obvious why the ATK is important, you can even use the movement speed on her as it’ll help Iansan,her best team member, keep her Nightsoul stacks high.
7The Widsith
Four Star
In theory, you might think that The Widsith is one of the best four-star options for Varesa,but that’s unfortunately not true when it comes to practical usage. While it’s still better than the three-star mentioned above, the randomness with this weapon can lead to it being largely useless in battle.
Every 30 seconds after taking the field, Varesa can get a random buff from the following for ten seconds:ATK boost, Elemental DMG boost, and Elemental Mastery boost. While the first two are fairly good on her, the last one isn’t as useful unless you’re using her in an Aggravate team.
If you are using Varesa in an Aggravate team,The Widsith climbs in the ranksas it becomes a decent weapon to use.
6Blackcliff Agate
If you head to Paimon’s Bargain shop, you’re able to buy the Blackcliff weapons during certain months using Masterless Starglitter. If you manage to get yourself the Blackcliff Agate from here, it can provide Varesa with adirect 55 percent Crit DMG bonus once fully upgraded.

Upon using your Elemental Skill, this weapon can create a Bond of Life on Varesa while giving her a 16 percent Elemental DMG bonus at maximum refinement. You can clear thisBond of Life with healers like Xianyunor Xilonen,who are also some of her best party members. As the bond is cleared, it gives Varesa an additional Elemental DMG bonus.
4Crane’s Echoing Call
Five Star
Entering the five-star weapon territory, the Crane’s Echoing Call stands out as a decent weapon for Varesa. However, it’s important to mention that if you have Xianyun,it’s much better to use this weapon on her as you can still get full benefitson Varesa while being able to use a different weapon on her.
Apart from increasing your ATK, this weapon also increases your Plunging ATK DMG after Varesa hits an opponent with her Plunge. It can also help her regenerate some extra Energy,which can be great to use her mini Burst multiple times.
3Kagura’s Verity
Kagura’s Verity is a limited weapon released quite a while ago in Genshin Impact alongside Yae Miko. Up until now, this weapon was quite niche, and mostly usable on its main character. However,Varesa is here to change that since this weapon can be one of the bestfor her.
It gives her a 66.2 percent Crit DMG boost after being fully ascended. Other than that, theElemental Skill DMG bonus you get from its stacks isn’t that useful on Varesa. However, the 12 percent Elemental DMG boost with three stacks is quite good, giving this weapon a high spot.

If you’ve been playing the game for a while, there’s a chance that you already have this weapon. It gives her a respectable 33.1 percent Crit Rate whileincreasing her movement SPD and Elemental DMG bonusthe longer she stays on the field.
1Vivid Notions
Finally, there’s no doubt in the fact that, much like other limited characters, Varesa’s best weapon is thesignature catalyst released with her called Vivid Notions. The amount of damage increase you get to her damage with this weapon is quite staggering as it starts with 44 percent Crit DMG as a secondary stat.
Added to that, youget 28 percent ATK and up to 68 percent Crit DMG increasefrom its passive just by using Varesa’s abilities. The stat boost you get by using this weapon is all you need to prove that no other weapon will come close to this one for her.
