Marvel Snapfeatures some of the most exhilarating gameplay loops in the card game genre, but it wouldn’t be half as fun without its dynamic and ever-changing metagame. With a new card dropping every week, coupled with consistent balance patches and updates, you’ll regularly see many new decks alongside dormant onesemerging from the ashes.
With so many possibilities, it’s tough to find decks that stand out. It’s not just about points — the game actively encourages counterplay to deny your opponent a solid lead. The most successful decks curate the perfect balance of surprise factors and decent Power output, and finding those decks can ensure you hit the Infinite rank without any delay.

Tier List Ranking
The list below divides all the decks in Marvel Snap into five tiers:S, A, B, C, and D. The higher up they are on the list, the better they’ll perform in terms of Cube Rate and Win Rate on average.
Here’s what each tier represents:
S and A-tier decks are almost neck-and-neckin how they play and compete against each other. The B-tier decks, although noticeably weaker and less reliable, are still more than playable and often secure easy wins when the stars align. Winning with anything below that, though, depends heavily onyou drawing good cards and your opponent drawing utter garbage.
Marvel Snap has hundreds of decklists involving niche archetypes, so to keep things simple, this article only lists the top 30 decks with either their most popular or most successful combination.

Additionally, because of how rapidly the metagame shifts, it’s important to note that these rankings can change later down the road.
S Tier
The S-tier decks dominate the High-Infinite ranks because of their reliable arsenal for gaining Power while denying your opponent the same privilege. They’re oppressive, powerful, and widely understood.
Description
Thanos
Ant-Man, Dazzler, Goliath, Sam Wilson, Speed, Cosmo, Mobius M. Mobius, Wiccan, Blue Marvel, Thanos,Mockingbird,Spectrum
From broken to unusable to broken again, the Thanos deck is truly inevitable. Although susceptible to Killmonger, Thanos' Infinity Stones are a great handy tool that makes the decka perfect fit for Wiccan. They also pump up Thanos tremendously, giving you enough room to slot in tech cards as countermeasures.

Toxic
Silver Sable, Hazmat, Sam Wilson, Scorpion, Cassandra Nova, Rocket and Groot, Red Guardian, Miles Morales,High Evolutionary,Man-Thing, Ajax, Abomination
In terms ofWin Rate and Cube Rate, this deck is undoubtedly the most consistent. With just one counter (i.e., Luke Cage) that’s easily nullifiable, the cards here canrack up a far-reaching leadthanks to their affliction-based mechanics.

DarkRonan
Korg,Nico Minoru, Master Mold, Gorgon, Gransmaster, Cassandra Nova, Mystique, Black Widow, Shang-Chi, Rockslide,Darkhawk, Ronan The Accuser
If you’re looking for a deck that’llalways counter the meta in some way, this is your best bet. The Darkhawk shell obliterates Thanos, Agamotto, and Arishem, while Ronan the Accuser harshlypunishes decks that rely on card generation.

Mid-Range Discard
Miek, Scorn, Blade, Morbius, The Collector, Swarm, Colleen Wing, Bullseye, Gambit, Daken, Frigga,M.O.D.O.K.
Discard has always remained relevant in one form or another, but introducing Bullseye to this specific listpushed the archetype to a whole new level. Thanks to this one card, you may massively boost Daken, Morbius, and The Collector to the point thatthey can often solo locations.
Agent Venom
Kitty Pryde, The Hood, Bast, Nico Minoru,Havok, Thena, Agent Venom, Sam Wilson, Cassandra Nova, Sage, Cosmo, Juggernaut
Early-game scalars and mid-range powerhousesare a one-way ticket to snatching cubes, which is exactly why this deck is so lethal. From Havok to Sage, almost every card in Agent Venom’s list canwin lanes with the right setup.
Scream
Nebula, Scream, Kraven, Sam Wilson,Spider-Man, Rocket and Groot, Red Guardian, Polaris, Miles Morales,Stegron, Ajax, Cannonball
On top ofbeing a nightmare for Move decks and Sam Wilson, Scream decks are highly disruptive in controlling the opponent’s power flow. You’re essentially combininga Toxic deck’s consistent attacks with Control’s ability to restrict combo plays.
A Tier
The decks in this category are excellent performers, with enough potential and consistency to even outpace the S-tier decks in some matches. The only thing keeping them from reaching the top tier, though, is a small weakness like a lower ceiling, tougher playability, or a hint of randomness that can lose you a few cubes.
Move Bounce
Arana, Ghost Spider, Human Torch, Iron Fist, Madame Web, Dagger, Doctor Strange, Falcon, Hawkeye Kate Bishop, Vulture, Frigga, Beast
This is undoubtedlythe strongest sub-archetype of Move, havingthree giant scalers that often reach 20 Poweror higher. Unfortunately, it’s extremely tough to maneuver, since you have toplan several moves in advance.
Arishem
Shadow King, Killmonger,Mobius M. Mobius, Doom 2099, Shang-Chi, Galacta, Enchantress,Legion, Doctor Doom, Alioth, Mockingbird, Arishem
Despite the shockingly high number of nerfs, Arishem remainsa solid Cube-stealing deck. It’s the only deck that can comfortablyhave every meta-relevant tech card, and the randomness will definitely hinder your opponent more than it hinders you.
Hela Discard
Blade, Morbius, Black Cat, Lady Sif, Jubilee, Iron Man, Blink, Gorr the God Butcher, Hela, The Infinaut,Skaar, Death
This sub-archetype ismeta-defining at best and an impressive, reliable deck at worst. Drawing Hela is an instant winning condition, and you can evenuse that fact tobluff-snap an opponentandmake them retreat when you can’t find her.
KaZoo
Ant-Man, Nico Minoru, Squirrel Girl, Dazzler, Hawkeye Kate Bishop, Marvel Boy,Caiera, Shanna, Kazar, Blue Marvel, Gilgamesh, Mockingbird
What makes Zoostand out is its customizability— you can fit in several unique combinations of one-cost cards and make the deck work. It’saffordable, easy to play, and reliable in spreading Poweracross the board.
Ongoing
Ant-Man, Goliath, Sam Wilson, Cosmo, Captain America, Speed, Doom 2099, Super Skrull, Iron Man, Blue Marvel, Doctor Doom, Spectrum
The main selling point of Ongoing decks is how they regularly grow with each Ongoing card coming to Marvel Snap. Now, with therelease of Goliath and Sam Wilson, this deck has lived up to its promise, showcasing exceptional Power levels withhealthy tech cards to accommodate counterplay.
Disable Ongoing
Zabu, Zero, Ebony Maw, Sauron, Armor, Lizard, Starbrand, Enchantress,Cull Obsidian, Typhoid Mary, Red Skull, Skaar
Sauron being a two-cost card and the introduction of Starbrand, the first three-card to have ten Power, wasall this deck needed to be meta. It’s a great option in several matchups because there’sno real way to disrupt it aside from using Shang Chi. Even in that case, it can spit out enough Power to cover that potential loss.
Surfer
Zabu, Grandmaster, Sam Wilson, Cassandra Nova, Brood, Silver Surfer, Cosmo, Juggernaut, Red Guardian,Sebastian Shaw, Galacta, Gwenpool
Surfer decks, like Ongoing, getexponentially better with more card releases, specifically the ones at three cost, released to Marvel Snap. Every timeyou see the Silver Surfer performing in the meta, he’s almost always got a new deck behind him, and it’s easy to see why. Itproduces bucketloads of Power, maintains a consistent Play Rate, and houses important tech cards to counter other powerful decks.
Victoria Hand
The Hood, Nico Minoru, Quinjet,Mirage, Hawkeye Kate Bishop, Victoria Hand, Agent Coulson, Frigga, Shang-Chi, Anti-Venom, Misery
Victoria’s the prime example of a deck thatadjusts itself to the match. you may either summon more Demons to spread Power evenly, or get two or more Victoria Hands to concentrate and double your Power output. It’s a superb choice for dynamic play, and it would’ve been in S-tier if it weren’t so vulnerable tocommon tech cards like Killmonger and Red Guardian.
B Tier
These decks can put up a good fight and have seen their fair share in the meta. However, almost all of them received significant nerfs that hinder their viability, and the cracks in their playstyle feel much more apparent.
Traditional Discard
Scorn, Blade, Morbius, Colleen Wing, Gambit,Corvus Glaive, Lady Sif, Dracula,Proxima Midnight, M.O.D.O.K., Khonshu, Apocalypse
The basic version of Discard falls into a tricky place, particularly when youcompare it to other popular Discard sub-archetypes. Sure, it can climb up to ridiculous numbers, but it’s not as good atplaying mind games as Helaor aseasy to execute as the mid-range variant.
Mill
The Hood, Yondu, Cable, Iron Patriot, Killmonger, Red Guardian,Baron Zemo,Gladiator, Shang-Chi, Misery,Lady Deathstrike, Death
Although noticeablyweak against large decks like Arishem and Thanos, Mill can be an oppressive force, especially against combo decks. It getsprogressively stronger with each turn, but if your opponent draws semi-luckily, you’re in trouble.
Surtur
Zabu, Zero, Iron Patriot, Cosmo, Juggernaut, Surtur, Starbrand, Attuma, Crossbones, Cull Obsidian, Typhoid Mary, Skaar
The nerfs to Surtur and Skaar in this deck were definitely felt, but not enough to tear it down completely. It can stillpump out freakishly high levels of Power, but it’s nowhere near the level it was when Surtur first came out. It’s alsotough to justify the deck when Sauron existsand is doing well.
Patriot
Zabu, Dazzler, Mystique, Luke Cage, Patriot, Super Skrull, Doom 2099,Iron Lad, Iron Man, Blue Marvel, Doctor Doom, Ultron
Patriot is anothereasy-to-use deck that relies on one specific combowith Ultron to win the match. The only hurdle it faces is predictability — your opponentusually knows where you’ll play Ultron, and if they throw down a Killmonger, Enchantress, Alioth, or Cosmo, there’s no way to recover.
Destroy
Deadpool, Nico Minoru,X-23, Carnage, Hulk Buster, Wolverine, Killmonger, Venom, Deathlok, Arnim Zola,Knull, Death
Destroy decks area classic option that has a simple game planwith a relatively high Power ceiling. The simplicity and popularity, though, are its only pitfall — everyone at this pointknows how to play around the deck.
Negative
Psylocke,Ravonna Renslayer, Ironheart, Mystique, Sage, Magik,Mr. Negative, Wong, Iron Man, Jane Foster, Gorr the God Butcher, Taskmaster
Getting Mr. Negative out early isa straightforward winning condition. There’s no deck out there that can stop you, but thatinitial overreliance on one card can be problematic.
Phoenix Force
Arana, Human Torch, Nico Minoru, Carnage, Hulk Buster, Multiple Man, Venom, Deathlok, Shuri, Phoenix Force, Nimrod, Arnim Zola
Similar to Negative decks,Phoenix Force makes or breaks this deck. If you draw it, you win the game; if not, you need spontaneous and unbelievably lucky combinations to pull off a sly win.
Clog
The Hood, Nebula, Titania,Grandmaster, Hawkeye Kate Bishop, Green Goblin, Magik, Debrii, Viper, Shang-Chi, Cannonball, Alioth
Clog’s entire strategy isdenying your opponent the opportunity to play cards— a viable move against even the top-tier decks. However, it also means the opponent knows what they can and can’t do when locked up, making for an easy retreat and, consequently,a low Cube Rate for you.
Tribunal
Howard the Duck, Ravonna Renslayer, Magik, Mystique, Jubilee, Super Skrull, Iron Lad, Iron Man, Blue Marvel, Sera, Onslaught,The Living Tribunal
Want a deck that’ll put300 Power across each lane? Tribunal is the way to go. Had it not been sovulnerable to a variety of cards, this deck would have landed in the A-tier category.
C Tier
The C-tier category truly highlights the biggest victims of Marvel Snap’s power creep. These decks were usable at some point, but now they just can’t gather the points to compete with the decks at the higher tiers. The most you’re able to do is to farm bots with them and attempt to reach Infinite every season.
High Evo
Sunspot, Misty Knight, Armor, Scorpion, Shocker, Cyclops, Shang-Chi, Enchantress, The Thing, High Evolutionary, Abomination, Hulk
Arguably themost budget-friendly deck option,High Evoboosts your non-ability cards and actually makes them somewhat viable. Unfortunately, the deck isextremely predictable with a fixed ceiling.
SheNaught
Wasp, Sunspot, Misty Knight, Armor, Jeff the Baby Land Shark, Magik, Cyclops, Moon Girl, High Evolutionary, Abomination,She-Hulk, The Infinaut
Compared to High Evo,SheNaught typically has a higher ceilingand exclusively relies on winning two lanes rather than spreading Power. As such, if your opponent playsShang Chi on one of those lanes, it’s an automatic loss.
Classic Move
Human Torch, Iron Fist, Ghost Spider, Forge, Doctor Strange, Hulkbuster, Kraven, Multiple Man, Cloak, Vulture, Vision, Heimdall
One of the forefathers of Snap’s decklists, theold-school Move is obsolete nowadays. The final Power output doesn’t justify the sheer number of hoops you have to cross, and there’s also the fact thatMove Bounce is better in almost every way.
Control
Zabu, Shadow King U.S. Agent, Luke Cage, Mobius M. Mobius, Killmonger, Galacta, Man-Thing, Shang-Chi, Enchantress,Ms. Marvel, Sera
Tech cards are the backbone of a metagame, so this deck, in theory, should be much higher. However, while it does counter a great number of cards, it simplydoesn’t have the numbers to competeagainst the Power-vomiting decks.
D Tier
Reaching the bottom tier, these decks are far from their glory days, if they had any to begin with. They haven’t been relevant for ages, and with the way the game is taking steps to reinforce a balanced metagame without these decks in mind, it’s unlikely they’ll ever get a chance to shine again.
Cerebro
Bast, Cerebro, Ravonna Renslayer,Quake, U.S. Agent, Scarlet Witch, Sentinel, Mystique, Luke Cage, Red Guardian, Valkyrie, Iron Man
Cerebro’s biggest problem isn’t the other players —it’s the locations. Any location thatadds or removes Power will crush your game plan, and there’s a good chunk of locations that do that.
Junk
The Hood, Titania, Nebula, Daredevil, Hawkeye Kate Bishop, Green Goblin, Debrii, Viper, Sentry,Annihilus, Sersi, Cannonball
After thegigantic nerfs to Sentry and Annihilus, Junk has really struggled to fit into the meta. It’s just aworse version of Clog at this point.
Lockdown
Zabu, Ebony Maw, Psylocke, Jeff the Baby Land Shark, Doom 2099, Storm, Iron Lad,War Machine, Legion, Professor X, Doctor Doom, The Infinaut
A shell of its former self,Lockdown has been reduced to a gimmick deckthat only works in miraculous situations. Unless your opponent’sentire strategy rests on an explosive Turn Six, there’s no way this deck can sneak out a win.
