Summary

In hindsight,Bethesdais probably regretting thatElder Scrolls 6reveal. Well, it wasn’t much of a reveal – more like a logo, which may also change with time. It was the studio’s way of saying that ‘the game will eventually come out so stop pestering us and go playStarfield’. Unfortunately, Starfield didn’t have the staying power that Skyrim had, and fans are now wondering when TES 6 will be released.

It’s safe to say that we’re not going to see any news on that front anytime soon. Thankfully, Oblivion Remastered will keep fans of the series occupied for a bit, but we can only guess when the next installment will launch. If a Bethesda developer’s LinkedIn profile is to be believed, we may actually see the game some time this decade.

The Elder Scrolls 6 May Release Some Time In The Next 5 Years

As pointed out byTimur222on Twitter (viaGameRanx), a Bethesda Game Studios employee has mentioned a mystery game in theirLinkedIn profile. They previously worked on Fallout 76 and Starfield as a programmer, and their current project is listed as “202X - Unannounced”. We may be grasping at straws here, but this could be The Elder Scrolls 6, and it may launch some time in the next five years.

We don’t know of any other project that Bethesda is working on, unless there’s something secretly in the works, but we’ll take even the vaguest of hints at this point. To put things in perspective, as of January,we are further away from the announcement of Elder Scrolls 6 than it was from the launch of Skyrim. It was announced at E3 2018, and E3 was permanently cancelled two years ago.

With the failure of Starfield, Bethesda has no other option but to go all in on its original properties. Fallout has been MIA for a long time now, and the anticipation for TES 6 may result in it never meeting fans' expectations. I guess we’ll see some time in the next five years.
