As first spotted on Twitter, within 39 minutes of Bethesda’s planned stream where details about the game were shared, the game had already been cracked by RUNE, a scene group that routinely cracks and shares recently released video games.
They weren’t the only ones racing to get the game into the hands of pirates,as Steamrip, another group of game pirates also managed to upload the game in record time.
If that wasn’t enough, then FitGirl, an infamous video game pirate that repacks games into smaller file sizes, andwho also managed to receive more than $42,000 in cryptocurrency after calling on fans to donate in order to keep their site running, also jumped in.
After announcing that they would bring the remaster to their site, they managed to make it available roughly 16 hours ago, representing another rapid turnaround among video game pirates.
With a lack of Denuvo to protect immediate piracy, it only becomes a matter of time before pirates manage to “crack” a new release. However, it appears that pirates are routinely refining their methods as games continue to be cracked quicker and quicker.
