Less Than Season One, But Only Just

Even though none of us outside of the reviewers, most of whom have given it glowing praise, have seen The Last Of Us season two yet, that hasn’t stopped people from criticizing it. A second installment in a The Last Of Us series causing controversy- who could have seen that coming? Feels like 2020 all over again, except we’re allowed to leave the house more than once a day this time.

Some fans are concernedBella Ramsey won’t fith the role of Ellie in a show adapting The Last Of Us Part 2due to the time gap between the games compared to the one between seasons. There’s a four-year time jump between the games, but Ramsey is only two years older than she was in season one. However, Ramey is 21, and Ellie is 19 in Part 2, so if anything, they’re even more suited to playing the lead role in the show.

The casting of Kaitlyn Dever as Abby has left some TLOU fans unimpressed too. One of Abby’s defining features inThe Last Of Us Part 2is her muscular frame. However,Druckmann explained Dever’s performance as Abby is far more important than how she looks.

The discourse surrounding Part 2 remains five years on from its release, so it’s to be expected that the same is going to happen with its adaptation. Regardless, if you enjoyed season one, it seems likely you’re going to love season two based on its reviews so far.
