For a series that loves the sandy beige dunes of Tatooine so much,Star Warsboasts a pretty impressive collection of drop dead gorgeous planets. The movies and shows have explored many of them, but thankfully, you get to check them out yourself in the various games released over the years.

Whether in an RPG, action game, real-time strategy, or whatever Super Bombad Racing is, there are plenty of Star Wars games out there where you may get an up-close look at the series' most beautiful locales. But what are some of the best and most breathtaking ones?

10Naboo

Notable Game Appearances

Star Wars: Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Episode 1: Battle for Naboo, Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, Star Wars: Super Bombad Racing, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Star Wars Battlefront (series)

First seen in The Phantom Menace, it makes sense that the lush and architecturally stunning planet of Naboo would see plenty of actionin Star Wars games. Few movies in the series got as much interactive action as this one, after all.

It’s already a natural beauty, as seen in its rolling plains. But the elegant streets and structures of the city Theed remain some of the most striking in the whole series, and you get plenty of opportunities to explore them in nearly countless games. That’s not to mention the awe-inspiring underwater Gungan city of Otoh Gunga.

9Taris

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars: The Old Republic

Once you get through the thrilling and occasionally confusing prologue ofStar Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, your first stop is the expansive metropolis of Taris. Stepping out into the elevated streets of its upper city for the first time is always a treat, and you’d be forgiven for stopping to just take in the incredible cityscape around you.

It’s not the utopia its visuals would have you believe, though. Taris has a massive class divide, demonstrated by its contrastingly dingy lower city. But the upper city’s beauty is also tragically fleeting, given the planet’s eventual fate at the hands of Darth Malak. By the time you see it again in the MMORPG The Old Republic, the remaining ruins are barely a shadow of what the city once was.

Star Wars Battlefront (series), Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2

There are few things more beautiful than a sprawling cityscape with some rain. In the case of Kamino, it’s more like rain with a little cityscape. First seen in Attack of the Clones, various Star Wars shows and games have revisited the location numerous times, and it’s not hard to see why they’d want to.

A perpetual rainstorm endlessly hammers the massive structures that make up Kamino’s Tipoca City, where the clone army was created. The Battlefront serieshas regularly returned there, and thanks to graphical improvements over the years, it just keeps getting prettier and shinier.

7Kashyyyk

Star Wars Battlefront (series), Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

It seems like every kid wanted a treehouse growing up. They clearly had the right idea, becausethe Wookiees of Kashyyykgot it down to a science. The towering wroshyr trees serve as the perfect bases for Wookiee communities, with entire cities living inside and on structures built onto them.

Unfortunately, fans rarely get the opportunity to visit this natural beauty in a nonviolent manner. Even in games like Knights of the Old Republic, where you get to explore the high-up walkways of Kashyyyk, there’s still lots of fighting to be had. But even in the Battlefront games, it’s a sight worth beholding.

6Bespin

Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars Battlefront (series)

Bespin’s Cloud City went a long way in establishing the visual identity of The Empire Strikes Back. Elegant interior design surrounded by absolutely breathtaking vistas of clouds and buildings ensures that everyone remembers Lando’s little entrepreneurial endeavor.

Many games have returned to the location entirely because of its striking visuals. Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back on SNES makes sense, given its embellished retelling of the movie’s events. But you can thank the Battlefront series for giving you a vast and sleek version of Cloud City to play around in.

Star Wars Outlaws

Just as The Last Jedi demonstrated, the beauty of a place like Canto Bight can be dangerously deceptive. Essentially the Las Vegas of the galaxy, this gambling-loving planet looks like a dream from afar. But to most, a dream is all it is.

InStar Wars Outlaws, you start the game asaspiring scoundrel Kay Vessliving in one of the lower-class areas of Canto Bight, emphasizing the true divide between the ultra-wealthy casino patrons and the real people who live there. It’s only when you climb high up and see the city from a distance that you can see Kay’s home as the glittering jewel the rest of the galaxy sees.

Star Wars Battlefront (series), Star Wars: The Old Republic

It’s hard to beat a nice lush forest for visual flair, and Star Wars knew that right from the beginning. Arguably, its first truly marvelous-looking location was Yavin 4, the forest moon from which the Rebel Alliance launched their attack against the first Death Star in A New Hope. It remains in fans' thoughts to this day.

The games still regularly return to the jungle-filled moon of Yavin 4, and its striking ancient temples make it so even titles set far in the past, like The Old Republic, can get the full experience. That contrast between the structures and foliage somehow makes them mesh well together, and that quality keeps fans coming back.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

It’s almost ironic that the sea-bound Ahto City on Manaan, filled with aquatic denizens, has something fishy going on. But despite the sinister undertones you slowly uncover as youexplore this tranquil paradisein Knights of the Old Republic, you’ll probably still want to come back on vacation.

Between the serene visuals and calming soundtrack, Manaan is arguably one of the most enjoyable places to explore in the game. Sure, it’s got political corruption permeating every crevice and there may or may not be man-eating sharks surrounding the place, but what good resort doesn’t have flaws?

Star Wars Battlefront (series), Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Those who have only seen the movies probably know Felucia exclusively as that planet where Aayla Secura was killed by her clone trooper squad in Revenge of the Sith. Either that, or they just know of a Dr. Seuss-looking place where a blue lady died, since the movie never said either of their names.

But the shows and games have expanded on the place since then, and it’s a good thing they have. This dangerous land of megaflora sports natural colors normally reserved for some randomneon sign saying “soup” in Aurebeshor something. You’re usually fighting through it, but your eyes will be in for a treat while your trigger finger gets a workout.

1Coruscant

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Star Wars Battlefront (series)

Even though Coruscant was previously introduced in the books, The Phantom Menace gave fans their first official on-screen look at this planet-wide city, and it did not disappoint. Countless skyscrapers, multiple levels boasting varied visual styles, lots of neon, it has everything.

Of course the games would want to get in on that action. FromStar Wars Jedi: Survivor’s opening mission to pretty much anyLego Star Warstitle, getting to explore this endless cityscape will always be enjoyable.
