Bleach Rebirth of Soulsfeatures a healthy set of 32 characters in its base roster, all having unique moves, playstyles, and animations. However, if you feel those fighters aren’t enough, or if none match your preferred play pattern, there’s a secret character the game doesn’t tell you about — Dangai Ichigo, the Final Getsugatensho.

Aside from looks and curiosity, there are several reasons to go after this character. Dangai Ichigo, unlike the rest of the cast, has no Awakening or Reawakening states, and every Kikon Move he does boosts his attacks for the rest of the game. His kit’s uniqueness could just be what you’re looking for, and all you have to do to unlock him is pursue a mode fighting game players typically neglect.

How To Unlock Dangai Ichigo

The only way to unlock Dangai Ichigo is tocomplete the game’s Story Mode on any difficulty. There are five chapters in total, and each chapter has different missions that have either one or no fights.

You can figure out ifa specific mission contains a fight by checking its icon— the flame icon means it’s a fighting mission, while the book icon means it’s a cutscene mission.

The Story Mode’s difficulty will be set to “Standard” by default. You can change this to “Casual” in the Settings menu to soften the experience.

Fortunately, you don’t have to attempt every fighting missionto complete the chapter. The mission grid follows a left-to-right pattern, and unless the game asks you to get “keys” to unlock a new mission, you may leave some of the prior fights. Cutscene missions, on the other hand, are easily skippable, and you can leave most of them anyway.

If you’re struggling in a boss fight, you can alsoequip talismans in the pre-mission menuto make it easier. You can obtain talismans based on your performance fromcompleted missions in Chapter Two and beyond, and they can offer a wide array of buffs from increased damage reduction to higher Spiritual Power buildup.

Once youbeat the final boss at the end of Chapter Five, you’ll automatically unlock Dangai Ichigo, which you can thenuse anytime via the Character Select menu. If you skip all the cutscenes in both the fighting and cutscene missions, you will likely be able tocomplete the Story Mode within six to seven hours.
