The Everything Is On Fire set is unique in that the cards included are the lowest costing out of all the batches. However, this Secret Lair version is one of the most expensive, due to it having a Raised foil version for $99.99, alongside Non-foil at $29.99 and Rainbow foil at $39.99.

The theme here is simple, and the title says it all. Even Wizards of the Coast admit that the inspiration was simply “Fire Hot”, a prompt they gave to artists Deb JJ Lee, Molly Mendoza, Yuko Shimizu, Adam Volker, and K Wroten. Each illustrator really ran with it, resulting in this set of five highly detailed cards which are all literal fire.

The Secret Lair X KEXP: Where The Music Matters set celebrates music in collaboration with independent radio station KEXP. The artwork, which showcases unique music venues, is by Dan Black and Jessica Seamans. Each card is incredibly detailed and brings a musical theme to a deck staple in a design which will compliment many other sets.

The value here is purely in the artwork, since the cards themselves are all Basic Land cards. You’ll find two each of Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, and Forest. you may put together a set of ten lands for under $10, while this set retails at $29.99 and $39.99 for Non-foil and Rainbow foil respectively. This one is a set you’ll want to buy for your love of music and the artwork.

Toru Terada isn’t too well-known in the US, but he’s built a solid reputation in Japan, and it was plenty enough for Wizards of the Coast to take notice. When the idea came to do a set with the theme of agressive speed Terada came to mind, and he delivered in spades.

The individual cards can be bought in other prints for around $10, while this set retails at $29.99 for the Non-foil version, $39.99 for Rainbow foil and $99.99 for Raised foil. However, the illustrations are incredibly unique and unlike anything else. The style has elements you often see in manga, and the level of detail is incredible.

This is a set that fans of this raw art style will surely want to grab for the love of the art, not caring about the value of the cards. Just imagine how nice those raised foils will look.

This set by LA-based illustrator Jay Howell, best known as the original character designer for the Belcher family in Bob’s Burgers, contains five cards which are all illustrated in Howell’s recognizable style. Quirky and cartoony, these cards not only look great but the selection offers good value. It also forms what could be the start of a Marchesca, The Black Rose Commander deck.

Currently, it will cost just over $30 to assemble a set of these five cards, and with the Secret Lair costing $29.99 for the Non-foil version, and just $10 more for Rainbow foil, you have everything to gain by getting your hands on one. Especially since it’s Jay freaking Howell. Who wouldn’t want these unique designs in their deck?

Dropping at the same time is the Everyone’s Invited Commander deck, featuring ten borderless double rainbow foil cards with the brand-new artwork pictured above. The deck is ready-to-play and was designed by Studio X’s Megan Smith and Victoria Spurling, and is a ‘Kindred Kindred’ deck. Full of changelings that are every creature type, and lords that buff them in various ways, it’s an interesting take on a deck that includes an impressive number of reprints, even outside of these ten cards.
