Earlier this week,Summer Game Fest presenter Geoff Keighley revealed all of the developers and publishersthat are going to be taking part in this year’s event. Don’t Expect The Witcher 4 Or Cyberpunk 2 At Summer Game Fest This Year

CD Projekt Red Has Something Smaller On The Cards

The appearance of CD Projekt Red on the Summer Game Fest lineup instantly sparked some speculation that the developer might be showing up with anew look at its highly anticipated game, The Witcher 4. Some even thought that we might be getting a new look at Cyberpunk 2,which recently entered pre-production.

It seems that isn’t going to be the case, though.CD Projekt Red’s co-CEO, Michal Nowakowski, shared the announcement post on Twitterand clarified the studio’s appearance at the event. Nowakowski noted that he’d seen some “creative speculation” in the comments section of the announcement, clearly referencing all the hopes for The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2.

Both projects seem very far off as it is, so I wouldn’t even expect to see them at The Game Awards, let alone Summer Game Fest.

Unfortunately, it seems those are just pipe dreams, as Nowakowski pointed out that CDPR is launchingCyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 that same week, which is clearly what’s going to show up at the event. Whether that’s a new trailer or a demo for journalists at the event isn’t clear, but Nowakowski still asked fans to “keep calm” with their expectations.
