WhenThe Simswas first introduced, the premise was pretty simple: you had some little Sims living in their house, and they did things. Entire lives were born and died in their little houses. But, and stay with us here, what if they could go…other places?

As the expansionswent on, Sims would be given more and more places to go to. From Downtown lots for dates, to Studio Town lots to work, Sims had a lot more places to visit than most people remember. Get out those walking shoes and lace them up: these are the best lots to visit in The Sims.

Serra Glen, an elfin meadow with some shops, is shown

10Serra Glen

Into The Woods

Now this is a Cottagecore lot if we ever saw one. The Serra Glen lot, introduced inMakin' Magic, is an idyllic little meadow where fae can mingle with Sims in a safe, comforting place. Here, the elves are able to sell their wares, and Sims can purchase them for their own magic.

This lot is small and simple, but it is filled with gentle charm. Take a moment to stop and chat with the fairies and maybe even grab some flowers on your way. At Serra Glen, life is about the simple pleasures.

Custer’s Market, a lot with a farm and a little shop, is shown.

9Custer’s Market

Farmer’s Market This Thursday

Here is another celebration of the ‘country chic’ aesthetic that The Sims franchise likes to embrace from time to time. This lot looks like it could be found in any cute little country town. It’s complete with a cash register, a viewing area, and even space to grow food on the lot.

Makin' Magic introduced a more advanced cooking system to The Sims, so this lot is useful to visit to grab any ingredients you might need. Custer’s Market lets your Sims live out their homesteading dreams with all the comforts of not actually having to grow their own food. Score!

Buckingham Galleries, a decadent art gallery, is shown

8Buckingham Galleries

The Real Buckingham Palace

Studio Town is home to a lot of beautiful lots, and the most beautiful of all has to be Buckingham Galleries. While this lot isn’t as useful as other lots in Studio Town, it’s the nicest to enjoy. Sims who visit the Galleries will be welcomed into a world of white chrome and gorgeous art.

The description of Buckingham Galleries implies that the art has been stolen from other galleries in SimNation. If so, that adds a layer of drama to an already dramatic lot. Stop by Buckingham Galleries to enjoy the finer things in life on your way to superstardom.

Old Town Quarter, with its cafes and shops, is shown.

7Old Town Quarter

Looking to indulge in everything Old Town has to offer? The Old Town Quarter is a perfect slice of everything that was introduced in The Sims: Unleashed. Here, Sims can take strolls among the cobblestone streets as they take in the unique atmosphere of Old Town.

This area is crammed with shops, but it also features a pool hall and places to eat. you may also purchase a pet here (Old Town really does have everything!). This area is less distinct than other areas of Old Town, but it is still an outstanding place to visit.

Al Pine’s Winter Wonderland, a winter themed lot in the mountain, is shown

6Al Pine’s Winter Wonderland

Walking In A Winter Wonderland

Vacation Island is crawling with cool places to visit, but none are cooler than Al Pine’s Winter Wonderland. This lot embraces the aesthetic of a ski resort getaway, which is an interesting aesthetic to choose. The beach lots of Vacation Island have had a lot of commentary, but the Winter Wonderland section is arguably just as beautiful - if not more so.

Sims who visit Al Pine’s Winter Wonderland are invited to adventure on the slopes, play in the snow, or just snuggle up by the fire. It has a super cozy vibe that will let any Sim relax and get away from the pressures of the world.

Clowntastic Land, a clown theme park, is shown

5Clowntastic Land

Let’s Clown Around

If you’re looking for a place to get silly, you don’t have to look any further than Clowntastic Land. This massive theme park is located on the outskirts of Magic Town, and it is one of the trademark lots of theMakin' Magic expansion.

Clowntastic Land’s permanent autumn vibes give a fantastic atmosphere to the whole place. It feels like a Halloween Town-style lot where it’s always spooky season. Sims can play on various themed rides here while also snacking on some delicious food. The daring can participate in magic duels while the less daring can watch them.

Vernon’s Vault, a gothic themepark, is shown

4Vernon’s Vault

A Gothic Dream

For those who want all the fun of Clowntastic Land but not so much of the bright colors, Vernon’s Vault is for you. Vernon’s Vault is another theme park that was introduced in Makin' Magic, but this lot has more of a doom and gloom vibe.

Sims can enjoy gumbo in between being startled and scared (in a fun way). The rides are themed around frightening things, and Sims can be entertained by various spooky entertainers. You can even meet Bonehilda here! That itself is a feature we can all agree is great.

The Gothic Quarter, a set of gothic shops with a graveyard, is shown

3The Gothic Quarter

Land Of The Goths

The Gothic Quarter is a New Orleans-inspired area of Old Town that is just dripping with ambiance. Jazz musicians wander the streets while Sims shop until they drop among the tombstones. It has anything anyone could ever want.

This Quarter is home to several features, like a library, a shop, and a palm reader. The palm reader can give certain boons if your Sims are lucky. If you’re even luckier, you may spot the Goths wandering the quarter that is named for them. But you don’t need to worry about running into any ghosts - the tombstones are fake.
