When there’s popularity, there’s going to be some rare cards that everyone wants to get their hands on and the most rare in any TCG tends to be limited promo cards.
Lorcana has had quite a history with promo cards, even releasing some before the official launch. For those who haven’t been on the hype train since day one, some of these cards might sting your wallet a bit to even fathom owning.

10Ursula, Deceiver (D23 Promo, 3) – $72.55
Deceptively Rare
As a part of the D23 2024 collection, this Ursula, Deceiver promo takes the beloved card fromInto The Inklandsand gives the art an extended treatment that looks fantastic. While the Ursula, Deceiver of All card got an Enchanted version, Ursula, Deceiver did not, so this extended art promo gives it some equal love.
Since the Lorcana community already knew how ridiculously expensive these D23 promos have been in the past, many were prepared to get their hands on the 2024 exclusives. Luckily, Ravensburger has been making it easier every year to obtain them so that those who can’t make it to D23 don’t have to spend their life savings. This did hurt the value of these promos a bit, but at least now you won’t have to sell everything you own just to obtain one.
9Ursula, Sea Witch Queen (Store Championship Promo, 38) – $90.64
Evil As Deep As The Depths Of The Sea
Ever since Ursula had a set themed around her with Ursula’s Return, she has been a highlight on some valuable cards and this Store Championship promo is both one of her rarest and best-looking cards. Ursula cards are all hidden gems that deserve more attention as she is one of Disney’s most iconic villains.
Since only those who finished in the top four of the officially partnered Store Championships during July 2024 could obtain this card, it is very limited. The art for this promo is much more menacing than the base version, and it shows off the Sea Witch Queen title of the card so much better.
8Oswald, The Lucky Rabbit (D23 Promo, 6) – $113.11
A Sneak-peek Of What Was Next
This borderless version of Oswald, The Lucky Rabbit, is one of the always valuable D23 exclusive cards that has an interesting background to it. The normal version of this card was released in the high-sea sailing setAzurite Seabut this card came in a collection that was released before the set was even announced.
Giving a sneak-peek into Azurite Sea was very cool of Ravensburger to do, and it helped build excitement for what would be one of the game’s best sets yet. The extended art on the promo makes this card so much more pleasing as it looks as if Oswald is properly pealing away the background to reveal the inside of the card.
7Mickey Mouse, Playful Sorcerer (D23 Promo, 7) – $121.14
Conjuring Golden Highlights
Mickey Mouse will always be the face of some of the most expensive and rare cards and the Lorcana community definitely doesn’t mind. This promo version of Mickey Mouse, Playful Sorcerer was given out at the 2024 D23 booth and, like all D23 promos, quickly became a marvelously magical card that everyone wanted.
With a golden tint over the name text and a rainbow foil holo shine, this promo is unique and one of the coolest compared to the others despite being a straight reprint (artwork included) of the same card from Ursula’s Return. The slight changes do make it more prestigious and special, and we can’t help but love this artwork of Sorcerer Mickey.
6Cinderella, Stouthearted (Challenge Promo, 3) – $160.50
Take On The Challenge
Challenge promo cards are only obtainable by the best of the best as you have to work your way towards them by performing well in the official Challenge events that are held each year. Ravensburger also made sure that all the promos were not only highly playable staples but that they all had beautiful art to get both players and collectors competing for them.
Cinderella, Stouthearted is a key piece in many Steel decks but is essential to Steelsong decks that feature Amber as it has amazing Shift power with the powerful Cinderella, Ballroom Sensation. So, with stunningly drawn artwork and strong playability, it’s no wonder this card is worth so much.
5Rapunzel, Gifted With Healing (Challenge Promo, 4) – $191.57
Long Hair, Valuable Cards
Rapunzel, Gifted With Healing has stood strong as one of thebest Amber Inkcards for its supportive prowess and, like all the challenge promo cards, this helps it be a super valuable card for both collectors and players. With art as eye-catching as this, who wouldn’t want to add this card to their collection?
All the challenge promo cards have wonderful art, but this card really pushes what a card can look like. The art has a borderless approach that gleams with light using the mix of holo and non-holo parts on the card. The legacy and staying power of Rapunzel, Gifted With Healing will only make this promo become more valuable over time.
4Stitch, Rock Star (Store Championship Promo, 30) – $345.77
Celebrate Your Victory With Style!
What better way to celebrate coming in the top four in a local tournament than to get an exclusive promo card for the awesome Stitch, Rock Star card. This promo was given out at the first official tournaments for Lorcana and features a gorgeous enchanted artwork version of the Stitch, Rock Star card from the first set.
This card has so many beautiful hues of yellow and orange that make it feel so regal and colorful and, considering it is an Amber Ink-type card, it pops even more. This is one promo that is just jaw-droppingly good and, while it isn’t the rarest to come by due to how many were printed, it is still valuable because it is the very first Store Championship promo.
3Let It Go (Challenge Promo, 2) – $784.57

This promo card is one of the illusive challenge promo cards which are very hard to obtain. Across the USA and Europe on selected dates, Ravensburger holds Lorcana Challenge events where players compete against one another to earn exclusive prizes and obtain promo cards as well as spots in further championship tournaments.
Let It Go is a very playable card and yet it has only ever had one artwork printed outside this stunning promo version. The detail and style on the extended artwork of this card is so mesmerizing, and we can’t fathom ever using this card for play as it deserves to be framed and kept on any collectors' wall.
2Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor (D23 Promo, 1) – $1,184.00
The Very First Card
This Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor card may not seem like much, but it is one of the most precious cards any Lorcana fan can own. Even without unique art or special foil, this card is one of the greatest cards because of the history behind it. It is the first ever Lorcana card released, given out a year before the first set even came out at D23 in 2022.
There was a plentiful amount of this card available, and it was given out for free, but the hype train was just too large for Lorcana and so the booth ended up running out of copies fast. Owning one of the very first cards of a TCG will always be a legendary collection piece for any collector, and considering how popular and long-lasting Lorcana seemingly is, this card will only keep rising in price.
There is another promo version of Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor, that is serialized and printed in gold foil art which is only given out to winners of the world championships. These cards, while considered promos, have been left off the list due to their wildly varied pricing and ridiculously high value.

Monstrous Price For A Magnificent Card
This card is one of the six exclusive pre-release cards that were distributed exclusively at D23 in 2022 and all six of these cards are ludicrously rare and sought after. These cards were all the very first promo cards available for purchase in a collectors' set over a year beforeThe First Chapter’slaunch.
These collector’s sets sold out within hours and on the second day it took literal minutes before stock ran out once again. The entire set as one sells for over $10,000, and it is only rising, but this Maleficent card is the most expensive of them all because it is a powerful card that has since become iconic in many Ruby-themed decks, not to mention the artwork is fantastic.
