Fighting enemies, monsters, and other creatures is the norm inOblivion Remastered, and that’s why it’s important that you’re well-prepared for your next tussle. This means you should have sufficient armor that protects you and a good weapon that you can use to fight back.
There are many different types of weapons in the game that you may use in fights, and each comes with its pros and cons. Some of the best endgame weapons in Oblivion Remastered offer the most damage and other effects that you can use in your battles.

8Hatreds Heart
Blunt
Hatreds Heart is a mace that can be found in the Chorrol Oblivion World. The blunt weapon looks similar to a Deadric Mace but comes with a nifty enchantment that makes it a powerful weapon. It’s a leveled item, so if you manage to acquire it at level 19 or above, you’ll get the strongest enchantment effects from it.
Hatreds Heart deals drain speed and fire damage when you successfully hit an enemy. The base enchantment offers a drain speed of five points for five seconds and five points for fire damage. The max level item brings the drain and damage up to 35 points with the speed being hindered for 45 seconds. While the enemy is slowed down, you can get multiple sneak attacks in, leading to a high bonus sneak damage with a high enough sneak skill.

7Hatreds Soul
Bow
Hatreds Soul is the bow counterpart of Hatreds Heart and can be found in the same Oblivion World. The punished pod contains both the bow and the Hatred Soul Arrows, and using both together lets you bring the bow’s maximum potential out. The bow also has an enchantment similar to the mace. At the base level, it drains speed five points for five seconds and deals five points of fire damage.
While those effects aren’t too shabby, the bow really shines at its maximum level. Using the bow to its full potential, it’ll also drain 35 points of speed for 45 seconds and deal 35 points of fire damage. The bow also has the potential to stack sneak attacks on slowed-down enemies, which makes it one of the best bows in the game. You can also collect multiple copies of the item by looting the punished pods in the Chorrol Oblivion World if you encounter the specific plane of Oblivion again.

6Apotheosis
Staff
Apotheosisis one of the most powerful staves in the game and can make short work of even the toughest enemies within a couple of hits. This weapon isn’t a quest reward or loot; instead, you’re able to buy it from a merchant. Rindir of Rindir’s Staffs sells the item in the Imperial City Market District, andif he likes you enough, you can buy it at a good price.
The weapon deals a total of 99 points of damage to an enemy thanks to its enchantment. The staff comes with 33 points of fire damage, 33 points of frost damage, and 33 points ofshockdamage. However, like other enchanted items, the staff also comes with a limited number of charges, so you must keep an eye on them so you don’t run out in the middle of a fight.

5Umbra
Blade
You can get theUmbra Swordduring the Clavicus Vile’s Shrine quest. The item offers the highest damage for any one-handed sword in Oblivion Remastered. Pairing the weapon with Azura’s Star is a good way to ensure it stays charged, and you can use theSoul Trapeffect.
One of the biggest advantages of this weapon is that if you avoid finishing the quest, the sword will remain a quest item indefinitely. This means that it’ll have zero weight, and if you’re arrested, the item will stay in your inventory. The sword’s power aside, this benefit is one of the best, as your weapon will deal massive damage, not put a dent in your inventory, and also stick aroundwhen you need to do a jailbreak.

4Goldbrand
Goldbrandcan be earned by completing the Boethiah’s Shrine quest, which requires you to go into a plane of Oblivion. The item is a powerful one and may work well paired with theUmbra sword, as you can charge it when it runs out to ensure you can use the enchantment.
Goldbranddeals 22 points of fire damage along with the base damage of the weapon. This makes it one of the best weapons to use against enemies as it can help you defeat them faster. The blade’s base damage is less than Umbra’s, but its fire damage makes it deal more damage comparatively.

3Sufferthorn
You can get Sufferthorn in Oblivion Remastered aspart of the Dark Brotherhood’ssecond quest. If you kill the target by dropping the mounted head on him and make the death appear as an accident, the blade will be given to you as a bonus reward. While Sufferthorn isn’t the most powerful weapon in the game, it offers massive base damage.
At the maximum level, the dagger damages enemies' health by 35 points while draining 20 points of strength. This enchantment, paired with the high base damage dealt by the item, makes it the perfect weapon for you to make quick work of enemies. The weapon is light and small, so you can attack enemies in swift succession to take them down.

2Chillrend
Chillrendis acquired as a reward in The Killing Field quest or by killing Valus Odiil and looting it from his body. If you’re a noble person, you’ll try to complete the quest, but you must ensure both Rallus Odiil and Antus Odiil survive or Valus won’t give you the sword. This is one of the items in the game that should be acquired at a higher level to make use of the weapon’s full potential.
The only issue is that if you attempt to complete the quest at a high level, enemies will also be stronger. This will make it harder to keep both brothers alive. At a base level, the dagger deals five points of frost damage, and every hit applies ten percentWeakness to Frostfor 20 seconds. However, at its maximum level, the weapon deals 20 points of frost damage and applies 30 percentweakness to frostfor 20 seconds.

1Dawnfang/Dustfang
This weapon is one of the unique items in the game because it changes according to the time of day. During the day, you wield Dawnfang, and as soon as the sun goes down, the sword turns into Dustfang. This dual-form weapon can be obtained in the Shivering Isles DLC as part of the island’s main quest.
In its base form, the weapon deals 15 points of fire or frost damage, depending on whether you wield Dawnfang or Dustfang. However, the best part about this weapon is that it will level up after you kill a set number of people using it. The item will become superior and give you seven points ofAbsorb Healthor magic lasting for one second.
