Playing As A Survivor
When playing as a survivor, you must consider the core mechanics of your role and character, as well as the current state of the match. Different maps offer varied escape routes and loops, which can help you either evade or confront the killer effectively.
The number of survivors left in the game will determine the role you should take based on your character. If you are playing a support-type survivor, focus on playing safely. However, if your character is offensive, it is more effective to take adirect and distraction-based approach to keep the killer engaged.
Playing As A Killer
When playing as a killer, it is essential to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each available killer, asthey offer different playstylesthat can be leveraged in various ways.
Don’t get discouraged if you struggle with a killer at first. The game’s community can sometimes be toxic, and facing experienced survivors can feel intimidating. However, practice makes perfect, and maintaining fair and respectful gameplay is always the best approach.
Buy Elliot First
When you start playing Forsaken, you’ll quickly realize that a lot of grinding is required to earn enough money to unlock all available characters, not to mention emotes and different character skins. Because of this, one of your first purchases should be Elliot.
Elliot is a support survivor who can heal teammates butcannot heal himself. While he may be weak in direct chases against killers, he possesses one of the mostessential mechanics for farming in-game currencyefficiently, allowing you to progress faster.
Healing teammates with pizza slices earns $10 per heal, making it an effective method for accumulating large amounts of in-game currency. Additionally, healing othersrecharges Elliot’s"Rush Hour" ability, which provides a speed boost, helping him relocate and escape from the killer when needed.
When healing other Elliot characters,Elliot’s healing is reduced from 35 HP to 20 HP, so strategic healing management is crucial.
Try Different Game Strategies
Winning as akillerisn’t just about chasing survivors, it’s aboutcontrolling the map, managing chases effectively, setting up ambushes, and optimizing ranged attackswhen possible.
Byexperimenting with different strategies, you’ll adapt to different playstyles and become a moreversatile and unpredictable killer, making it harder for survivors to counter you.
Enable Hit Box Visualization
Since Roblox is a client-server-based ecosystem, issues like lag, ping fluctuations, and server instability can sometimes affect hit registration, making it difficult to land attacks as either a survivor or a killer.
To improve accuracy,it is highly recommended to enable hit box visualization. This feature helps you get used to the attack range of your abilities and allows you to see exactly which attacks connect.
How To Enable Hit Box Visualization
When active:
“Visible Attack Hitboxes” isparticularly useful for precision-based killers, as it allows you to adjust your aim and improve your overall performance.
Play With Shift Lock Enabled
Enabling Shift Lock locks the camera to the character’s perspective, maintaining consistent aim and movement, which isparticularly useful for landing ranged abilities more accurately.
Unlike in most other Roblox games,Shift Lock is not activated by pressing Shift, as that key is used for running. Instead, in Forsaken, you must press the Control key to enable it.
This setting helps improve targeting and ensures that your attacks and abilities are aligned with your camera’s direction, giving you better precision in both survivor and killer roles.
