Grinding Is Rewarding

Survival-crafting games can get grindy, and that’s true for this game as well. However, Runescape: Dragonwildsis exceptionally rewardingwhen it comes to repeatedly doing the same actions to gather materials.

With time, everything becomes a lot easier in this game, but before that happens, you’ll have to spend a few hours repeatedly doing the same thing over and over until yourskill level in that particular category is high enough, and you’ve unlocked new spells that make things a lot faster.

Build Storage Crates As Soon As You’re Able

There are a lot of different resources in the game, andyour inventory isn’t big enough to keep everythingin it. That’s whyplacing a few chests inside your home or any other safe placeand putting your items inside them can ensure that you’re ready to explore new areas and gather more resources.

Additionally, as you explore new areas, you’ll encounter tougher enemies, and it’s possible that you may die multiple times, without getting a chance to recover your lost items.

In such cases, the items that you have stored in your storage crates will still be with you.

Maximize The Efficiency Of Woodcutting And Mining

Mining and woodcutting are tedious processes, and you’ll be doing that a lot in the game. Each stroke of your axe or pickaxe consumes stamina, but if you can position your crosshair and the materials in an ideal way, you’ll be able tohit multiple logs or mineral nodes with a single swing.

Doing so will save you a ton of time and allow you to maximize the output for the stamina consumed during mining or woodcutting. Spells are also a great way tospeed up the mining or woodcutting process, but you can also aim accurately with these spells to maximize the output.

Make sure you aim in such a way with your spells that you’re hitting the most trees or mining nodes when using spells that affect multiple trees or nodes.

Don’t Hesitate to Use Spells

Spells aren’t free, and you have toconsume runes to cast them, which may cause some players to hesitate to use them in everyday life. However, it should be noted thatrune essence is infinite, and most rune nodes will gradually replenish over time.

Additionally, most spells consume a few runes, while making things a lot easier, so you shouldnever hesitate to use spells. You won’t be running out of runes anytime soon, and even if you do, you can just find and mine more rune nodes, and even if you’re unable to find new ones, you can just return to the old ones after a while.

Runes don’t have any weight, and aren’t dropped on death. You can have hundreds of them in your inventory, so go all out on using them.

Don’t Stay In Your Home All The Time

After you’ve finished building your first humble abode, youmight want to stay around it, gather items, and then return to it when you’re tired. While this sort of peaceful life has a charm of its own, you’ll be missing out on a lot of incredible stuff this game has to offer.

So, you shouldn’t worry too much about getting tired while you’re far from home. You can alwayswhip out a shelter tent with a spell or build a tiny homewith a few pieces of wood and go to sleep to wake up fresh and lively, and then you can continue your exploration.

Get A Bow Quickly To Hunt

While you don’t specificallyneed a bowto hunt, it can make things a lot easier, as most early game animals will die froma single fully charged shot, and you can always pull out your club for those sturdy ones. Animals drop useful resources on death, including meat, which can then be cooked with a variety of ingredients at a campfire.

Alongside being an incredible hunting tool, a bow can also be used in battles. You can always sneak behind an enemy and aim for their head with the bow, and most of the time,it will only take a few shots to take out most early-game enemies.

Set Up A Small Base Outside Tough Areas

In the early game, you might encounter many areas with enemies that are quite challenging to beat, and if you die while fighting against them, you’ll have to travel all the way back from your base. The longer the distance between your home and the place where you died, the more dangerous it is to walk back all the way.

Luckily, you canset up a small home with a bed outside any Vault or high-difficulty area, and rest in it. Next time you die, you’ll respawn on the last bed that you rested on, and won’t have to travel all the way. Later on, you may evenbuild Lodestones to fast travelfrom one point to another without risking too much.

Treasure Chests Replenish Over Time

Unlike most games, chests in Runescape: Dragonwildsoften replenish over time. If you’ve looted a chest, you should remember its location and find it again after a few days. It might befilled with loot again.

You can alsoset a marker on the world map to remember a chest’s locationand return to it after a while.

Keep in mind that chests in higher-level areas drop better loot, so it’s a good idea to revisit these chests after a few in-game days.
