8Build Your Permanent Home In A Low-Level Area

Bramblemead Valley is the perfect place to build your home, especially because it is a low-level area. You will often be hunted by enemies when you spend too much time in an area, and if you’re resting in a high-power-level area, such as the Fractured Plains, you’ll often be assaulted by the Garou, which are much more difficult to beat.

On the other hand, you can easily beat a couple of goblins. The type of enemy that will be raiding you depends on the area that you’re currently in, and as such, building a house in a low-level area makes it easy for you to fend off the raids.

If any part of your house is destroyed in a raid, you can collect all the materials that were used to build it by approaching the destroyed structure’s location and then rebuilding it later.

7Check Which Structures Require Shelter And Which Require Exposure

Some structures are to be placed under a shelter to work, such as the spinning wheel, while others are to be placed out in the open without a roof over them. You can check these requirements by hovering over a structure in the build menu, and it will tell you if it requires shelter or exposure.

It’s a good idea to build a roofless area outside your house to place such structures. Some of the structures that require exposure include the kiln, furnace, and cooking pot.

6Use The Eye Of Oculus

The Eye of Oculus is a spell that allows you to view things outside your physical body, making you build walls and such, even if they’re too far away from you and in places that you can’t immediately see.

You only need to activate this spell once, and then you can build multiple structures all over your house without having to move your character from one place to the other, and it is especially useful for building large houses.

The Eye of Oculus unlocks at level 11 in the Construction skill tree and consumes five Astral Runes to cast.

5Use Floor Platforms As Roofs For Large Houses

Whenever you’re building a large house, it’s more convenient to use floor platforms instead of the inclined roof, which can get a little difficult to build due to stability issues on large houses. However, floor platforms don’t have that problem.

You will still have to build beams and pillars to support these floor platforms if you intend to use them as the ceiling. Additionally, you can also use the floor platform ceiling to place structures that require exposure if you don’t want to use any extra space outside your house for them.

4Build Windows And Torches For Light

An enclosed home will get dark, too dark to be able to see anything. For that reason, it’s recommended to build torches all over the interior. Keep in mind that you can also place torches on beams and pillars, but you can’t place them on inclined structures.

You should also place a few windows in the house, so some light can get in. Using windows isn’t as efficient as torches, and placing them barely provides any extra light, but it still won’t be as dark as a completely enclosed house.

3Build A Lodestone Near Your House

Lodestones allow you to fast travelfrom one point to the other. If you’ve placed a lodestone near your house, you’ll be able to teleport to it from any other lodestone that you build on the map.

Building a lodestone near your house provides you with a way to freely travel anywhere on the map, as you can easily fast travel back home when you have to replenish your supplies or have to repair your gear. Keep a Vault Core in your inventory whenever you’re heading out too far from home so you can build a lodestone on the way to fast travel back home whenever necessary.

2Build Multiple Structures Of The Same Type To Speed Up Production

you’re able to place multiple structures inside your house to speed up production. For example, you can only put 20 animal hides into a tanning rack at once, but if you’ve got multiple of those placed inside your house, you can drastically increase the output.

The same is also true for externally placed structures, but you won’t often need to build multiple furnaces or kilns due to the availability of the Super Heat spell, which can speed up the crafting process. But, for crafting threads and leather, placing multiple tanning racks and spinning wheels can be very useful.

1Don’t Hesitate To Destroy And Rebuild Structures

The game gives you complete freedom to rebuild structures as many times as you desire. If there’s anything that you don’t like inside your house or if you want to build a bigger house in place of the current one, you can simply destroy it, and you will get all the materials back for it.

to destroy a structure, you’ll have to switch to the repair mode and then press the delete button while aiming at the structure to delete it. After that, you’ll be able to collect all the items from the ground.
