Summary
Baldur’s Gate 3is a massive game. You’re bound to come across new content even after multiple playthroughs. Even two years later, the community is still findingnew lines of dialogues and interactions that no one has seen before. There’s just so much in there that Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the most replayable games ever made.
However, even after several playthroughs, you may come across something that you still don’t know how to deal with. For instance, not many of you knew that you could use the Grymforge’s hammer to kill Grym. However, the most common among these is not knowing how or where to use Shadowheart’s Divine Intervention.

God Works In Mysterious Ways
Once you’ve levelled up Shadowheart or any other cleric enough, you’ll get theability to use Divine Intervention. As the name suggests, it’s literally god giving you a helping hand, so you might want to save it for when you really need it. Since it gives you multiple options, it seems many players are confused about when and how to use it, or are just too afraid to waste it.
Over on Reddit, fans are discussing the best situation to use Divine Intervention in, but not everyone is sure it’s the best way to do so. “My first playthrough I ended up using it during the Raphael boss fight. I was pretty shit at the game at the time so it was the only thing that gave me an actual chance,” said one comment, which seemed to be many other players' answer too.
“It’s excellent in the house of grief too, I always save Shadowheart’s divine intervention for that,” said another. “I have her cast sanctuary and walk in to start the fight, wait for some of the Sharrans to start circling her, and bam, radiant damage right to the face. She can take out a good handful of them, especially if she’s been eating worms.”
Another player suggested dual-wielding Divine Intervention – “used it in the best way I could. Globe of invulnerability, get everyone in there, and blast both Shadowheart’s and Hope’s interventions at all those devils. Game lagged HARD.”
It seems the three predominant places that players are using it is either against Raphael, the Netherbrain, or in the Sharran Sanctuary.
