That being said, there are alsoa lot of tracks that don’t look like they’re coming back for the remake, either because the artist is missing or other songs by them have been picked instead.
Since music is such a big part of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games, there has been some considerable backlash and worry about the remake’s soundtrack.As pointed out by Redditor beans4teens69 on the Pro Skater subreddit, Tony Hawk himself has responded to the criticisms and explained what’s going on in an Instagram post.
While revealing the second wave of songs for THPS 3+4, Tony Hawk shared a comment noting that it was his choice to pick different songs by the same artists and that he’s hoping that “discovery is half the fun”. He also points out that discovery is one of the big reasons that the series' music “resonated” in the first place and that he wants fans to “listen and enjoy the ride”.
