Ever since the release ofTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, fans have been begging for Activision to continue the series and give us more remade versions of the classics. As great as that sounds, though, there has been some disappointing news along the way, such as Pro Skater 4’s career mode basically being removedandBam Margera nearly not making a return. The biggest source of controversy has, without a doubt, been the collection’s new soundtrack, which doesn’t have nearly as many classic songs as we all hoped.

“Listen And Enjoy The Ride”

Over the past few weeks, the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 soundtrack has been being revealed bit by bit, confirming a bunch of new tracks and some of the songs that we all know and love. That being said, there are alsoa lot of tracks that don’t look like they’re coming back for the remake, either because the artist is missing or other songs by them have been picked instead.

While revealing the second wave of songs for THPS 3+4, Tony Hawk shared a comment noting that it was his choice to pick different songs by the same artists and that he’s hoping that “discovery is half the fun”. He also points out that discovery is one of the big reasons that the series' music “resonated” in the first place and that he wants fans to “listen and enjoy the ride”.

I’m hoping that discovery is half the fun, and a big reason that these soundtracks resonated in the first place. So listen and enjoy the ride. More to come… both old and new. - Tony Hawk
