What Animal Is Aggrestuko?
Aggrestuko is ared panda.She doesn’t exactly look red, but her fur pattern, ears, and tail are all similar to that of a red panda. Red pandas can also vary in color a bit, with some being a bit more lighter than others.
We learned her animal type from Aggrestuko’s official Japanese Sanrio page, which states that she is a red panda that works for an accounting department in a typical office.The red panda doesn’t seem like an arbitrary pick either, as it mayhold some sense of irony.
Red pandas are often regarded as cute and adorable, especially in Japan. So,when an angry, death-metal singing character is a red panda, it’s ironically funny.
Unlike older characters, Aggrestuko’s first main appearance was in a series of animated shorts.Once the Aggretsuko anime came out,her popularity soared.The show is incredibly relatable, with great characters and a surprising amount of humor.

You may have noticed that at times, Aggrestuko is just calledRetsuko. This is because it’s actually her name! When she gets enraged,Retsuko gets aggressive and turns into Aggrestuko.Interestingly, Retsukomeans angry child in Japanese.So, when she becomes Aggrestuko,she’s like an aggravated, angry child.
