There’s maybe more lore inInfinity Nikkithan you’re expecting from a dress-up gacha game, but there are plenty of ways to learn about Miraland and its history as you continue to explore. Plenty of times throughout the game, you’ll see reference to the War of Heavens, but what exactly happened back then?
The War of Heaven seems to be one of the most major lore events ever to happen in the history of Miraland, responsible for the creation of the realm as we know and love it today. Here’s everything we know so far about the War of Heavens.
What Happened During The War Of Heavens?
Long before yourNikki drops into Miralandto begin her adventure in the Heartcraft Kingdom, the realm was presided over by a pantheon of gods, to whom you’ll hear ample reference should you stop to talk to the townsfolk around the world or check out the assorted lore books left in all kinds of places around Miraland. The most common one welearn about during questsin the Heartcraft Kingdom isThe Wishing One, the god responsible for making both the Faewish Sprites in his home region of the Wishing Woods and the Pieceys over in the Abandoned District.
It’s in stories of The Wishing One that we hear of the War of Heavens, since The Wishing One was one of the several gods who fought in it against the all-consuming, mysterious force called The Dark. The bits of lore we’ve seen so far in Infinity Nikki tell of terrible fighting as The Dark tried to ravage the land, resulting in the old gods - The Wishing One we’ve heard so much about included - sacrificing themselves together in the name of creating a seal to protect Miraland from The Dark.
Though the gods sacrificed themselves to seal The Dark in the name of trying to protect Miraland, when Nikki arrives at the start of the game, we see that the area is experiencing plenty of Esselings popping up again lately, suggesting that the seal from the gods may be wearing down over time.
It was after the war that the different style-centric kingdoms in Miraland were created, including theHeartcraft Kingdom’s various locationsbeing incorporated and several others we’ve heard mention of in story segments but are eagerly awaiting the chance to venture out into banding together as sovereign kingdoms as well. In addition to the division of the seven nations, a new calendar began following the War of Heavens, denoting the dawn of a new era in Miraland.
