How To Craft And Use Scarecrows
To unlock the recipe for theScarecrow, you need tobegin leveling up your Farming skill. You can easily do this in the beginning by harvesting your first crops.
Once youreach level 1 in Farming, you’ll receive the Scarecrow recipe as a reward. The Scarecrow will require50Wood, oneCoal, and 20Fiberto craft.

To craft it, open your crafting menu andclick on the Scarecrow. If you have all the materials you need, you’ll successfully craft it and can then put it in your inventory.
When you’re ready to place the Scarecrow, select it from your inventory andplace it on the ground.

The Scarecrow protectseight spaces on each side, and aboutsix spaces on each corner. The radius of the Scarecrowcovers a total of 249 spaces.
While the Scarecrow is on your farm, you can click on it toshow how many crows it has scared off. If you ever remove the Scarecrow for any reason,the crow count is reset.

Aside from the basic scarecrow,there are eight Rarecrowsyou can get at various points in the game. They have the same radius as your first Scarecrow.
When you have all eight and haveused them each at least once, you’ll unlock the recipe for theDeluxe Scarecrow, which hasdouble the rangeof the standard scarecrow.
