Most of the best Thieves Guild quests inOblivion Remasteredgive you important items to target and steal, like Ahdarji’s Ring. While it might not seem like more than a trinket to us, it has deep sentimental value for its owner. The time will come for you to steal objects that could change the course of history, but for now, it’s time for a little practice.

There’s no doubt that Ahdarji’s negative attitude makes finding the ring during this quest a bit bittersweet, but at least there’s a reward waiting for you at the end. First, you’ll need to perform some careful reconnaissance before you can make your move.

How To Start Ahdarji’s Heirloom

After you’vecompleted The Elven Maidenand sold 200 gold or moreof stolen goods to a Thieves Guild fence, you’ll be able tospeak to S’krivva in Bravilto receive your next assignment, Ahdarji’s Heirloom. Your time reporting to Armand is over.

Travel to Bravil, where, as long as you’ve fenced 200 gold, S’krivva will have a special task waiting for you.

During the day, you’ll find S’krivva at her house, while at around 8:00 in the evening, she’ll make her way over to the Lonely Suitor Lodge.

Speak to S’krivva and select ‘Thieves Guild special jobs’ to progress the quest. Ahdarji’s Heirloom tasks you with helping the widow of a former fence, who had a precious ring stolen from her by a freelanceThief– something the guild frowns upon.

How To Steal Ahdarji’s Ring

Head to Leyawin,and speak to Deeh the Scalawag (or anotherBeggar) about Ahdarji. You’ll learn she lives on the west side of the town and can be found at theFive Claws in the afternoonorTheThree Sisters Lodge in the evening.

Head to either location depending on the time of day and speak to Ahdarji. Ask about her stolen ring, and you’ll find outAmusei was behind the theft.

You may remember Amusei was the Argonian you competed against to enter the guild.

Return to Deeh the Scalawag or anotherbeggarto ask about Amusei, who has been caught and tossed in prison.Go to Castle Leyawinand follow the path south to the dungeon.

Bribe the Leyawin Jailorto let you in to see Amusei for 20 gold coins.Follow theguarddown to the end of the hallway and enter the door he opens for you, then proceed to the cell at the far right end of the room to find Amusei.

Ask about Ahdarji’s Ring, and Amusei will ask for something in return.Give him a lockpick, and he’ll explain that the ring is now in Alessia Caro’s possession.

Exit the castle and ask one of the beggarsaround the city about theRecovered Caro family ring,using ten gold coins to bribe the information out of them.

You’ll be directed to Hildara Mothril,Alessia Caro’s handmaiden, who may be able to help.

Thebeggarwill also mention “other secrets” in Castle Leyawin, like a hidden torture chamber.

Seek out Hildara Mothrilin Castle Leyawin’s banquet hall around 8:00 pm, or she can be encountered on the street. There are several key bits of information you can gain from Hildara:

With this information,head to Castle Leyawin a little after midnightwith some lockpicks andChameleonspells ready.

You cannot find Alessia between the 15th and 17th of each month – she’s away from Castle Leyawin.

Infiltrating Castle Leyawin

From the entrance of the castle, go straight into the throne room, then enter theCastle Leyawin Basement.

Approach the far wall witha not-so-subtle door-shaped cutout along the walland use thelever in an open barrelagainst the wall to open the secret passage.

Enter the secret passage andfollow it to the Wooden Door to the Secret Room,which you’ll need to pick anaverage lockto enter. You’ll enter the torture chamber.

There are two locked chests in this room, along with Silver Warhammers lying around if you want some free loot.

Head immediately right and follow the passage north into theLord’s Manor Private Quartersby unlocking anotheraverage lock.

Use the lever on the wall to open the exit door and unlock the wooden door with avery easy lock,and head immediately left, evading aguardand lockpicking one more average locked door that leads into the countess' bedroom.

Once inside,steal the ringfrom the countess' bedsidejewelry boxwith ahard lockon it.

If the ring or countess is not there, then go outside the castle and wait for a few days. This should fix the issue.

What Rewards Do You Get From Ahdarji’s Heirloom?

With the ring in hand, you can return to Ahdarji and ensure totell her that Amusei tried to sell the ring, then return it to her,earning you200 goldfor your troubles.

From there, return to S’krivva in Bravil and report on your success, earning you the following additional rewards:
