For the most part,Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Editionplays much the same as the original version. That is, of course, until you reach the new Chapter 13 and quite a few new things happen. The most significant of these is the brand-new Volitaris region, a comparatively bite-sized area compared to the game’s other regions.
In this region, much of your time is spent finding your squad and plunging Samaarian spears into Void. The act of finding these spears is easy, though each has a unique way of being unlocked. One spear in particular requires you to do a bit of hide-and-seek, and it is very easy to lose your way.

What Are The Trinity Galdr?
There aresix spears spread across Volitaris, each of which will weaken Void in one way or another during your final encounter with him. These are easy to find, large white spears stabbed into the environment. One of them you will encounter will havethree Galdr guarding it, who seal the spear and fly off when you approach.
To open this spear, you must track down all three of these Galdr, calledthe Trinity Galdr, and take a key from each of them. Except that is easier said than done. Thankfully, you don’t have to do this immediately, as the trio will remain in the area no matter how long it takes you.

The Trinity Galdr also use a custom colour scheme, being red, blue, and green respectively. This helps them stand out against the more intense effect on every other enemy in Volitaris.
Where To Find Each Of The Trinity Galdr
After you approach the Trinity Galdr and they fly off, the direction they flee in is meant to point you to their general location, though this isn’t strictly accurate. Some of the Galdr will continue moving, meaning you have to search rather thoroughly to find them.
However, they all remain in the vicinity of the spear itself, rather than spreading out across the rest of Volitaris. They are, however, still quite elusive despite that.
Here’s where to find each of them:
Each of them drops a release key, and the game will inform you once all three have been picked up with a text prompt. Once you have all three of them, just return to the spear to take down the shield and send the weapon hurtling into Void.
Do You Have To Find The Trinity Galdr?
When you enter Volitaris, you are asked to find your squadmates, relocate your Skell, and activate any spears you come across. However, most of these tasks are optional. You are only required to find Lin and Tatsu and your own Skell. Beyond this, every other act is optional.you may head to fight Void any time after that.
By extension, that means every spear is optional too. In the battle against Void, the spears can be destroyed to lock off certain moves, such as Void’s ability to change Attribute. Beyond this though, the spears are just a helpful little boost, rather than a mandatory task. So if you get tired of hunting down those Galdr, or they just aren’t appearing for you, you’re able to avoid them entirely.
