Quick Links
InRevenge of the Savage Planet, you get lots of wonderful planets to explore. Sure, that option is only available to you because the company that hired you to come here in the first place fired you as part of downsizing efforts, but at least you can make the most of this time. And these really are some great planets, wonderful variety.
But there really is nothing like home. Earth is who knows how far away though, and you’d need a Javelin spacecraft to bring you back home. Well lucky you, because has washed up in the swamp right outside your Habitat. You just need to get it working again, and that takes a considerable amount of time.

Where To Find The Rusty Javelin
After landing on Stellaris Prime, you eventually make your way to the Nu Florida Habitat. This becomes your base of operations. One you must build up yourself, seeing as Alta Interglobal felt fit to not give you any of the tools you needed for your job. After you do get the Habitat up and running again,Eko will pick up a strange signal nearby, and asks you to investigate.
This has you finding the Rusty Javelin, which isburied in the swamp within the region of Nu Florida. What a find! However, it’s buried real deep in there, more than your scrawny frame can handle. You’ll need some new, powerful tool for this one. A tool thatcan be found on the planet of Xephyr.

After you beat the Wormzilla boss, you will be given the Mag Fork tool, which lets you lift metal objects. You can see where this is going. Head on back to the swamp of Nu Florida andyank that Javelin out of the waterand bring it back to base. Now that you have it saved, you’re set for home, right?
Wrong. This Javelin was submerged in that lake for a length no one knows. Maybe even the century since you left earth in the first place. It’s going to take some maintenance to get it working, and that starts with a nice bath.

Cleaning The Rusty Javelin
Once you retrieve the Rusty Javelin from the swamp, it’s brought back to a dedicated platform at the Habitat for some deep cleaning. It has become covered in layers of gunk over the years it’s been buried, andyou’ll have to wash it all awaybefore you can even consider going about the formal repairs. To that end, we need to perform three specific actions:
If you’ve retrieved the Rusty Javelin as soon as you may, then it’s likely the only part you can clean right now is the Green Goo. To do this, you simply need to blast away all the Green Goo with the Water Hose. There’s quite a lot on it, and you need to be thorough. The mission will update as soon as you’ve removed all of the Green Goo you need to, so keep an eye on the mission in the journal to see when the objective has completed.

Next are the webs. To remove these, you will need Lava Goo. And to get Lava Goo, you need theGoo Ingestor upgrade for the Water Hose. Which in turn needs you to pick up two different pieces from various Supply Crates on Xephyr. Once you’ve gotten this, all you have to do isspray some Lava Goo onto those webs. Keep in mind you will have to gather Lava Goo on Stellaris Prime first, as your supply resets every time you change the planet you are on. you’re able to find some deeper in the planet.
You could alsoget the Homebrew Lava Goo upgradeso you have a permanent supply, but this requires finishing the final batch of challenges, which aren’t available until near the end of the game.
Finally, we have the Amber to remove. This is quite simple, but isn’t possible until after you’ve unlocked the planet Quasadron IX. You see,to destroy Amber, you need Blight Bombs. Except without the upgrade to keep them in your inventory, they also last five seconds in your hand. Once you have researched this upgrade though, you can refill your stock of Blight Bombs from the vending machine in your Habitat. Just toss them at the chunks of Amber to melt them away.
With all of these messes cleaned away, the Rusty Javelin is looking significantly less rusty, if still a tad under the weather. Now though, you can finally go about the process of actually repairing it. Which, surprising no one, is also an incredibly long process.
Finding Each Javelin Upgrade
Once the Rusty Javelin has been cleansed, you have to go about repairing it before it is operable again. This comes in the form offive bespoke upgrades, at which point you can ride it back to earth. However, not only are these five upgrades quite expensive, you have to find them. So here’s where to find all five of these upgrades.
Air Freshener And Ultra Hi-Fi Sound System
The first two upgrades for the Javelin are theAir Freshener and the Ultra Hi-Fi Sound System. Yes, these are mandatory components of your flight back to Earth, obviously. As superfluous as they seem, they are also the only upgradesavailable to you immediately. You can install them whenever you want, but keep in mind the expensive material cost.
Since the Javelin isn’t useful until you actually want to finish the game, it’sbetter to prioritise upgrades for your character first.
Antenna
The Antenna is the first part of the Javelin you can find for research. It is located out deep in the wastes of Xephyr, in thenorthernmost section of the Crystal Pillarsregion. You can find it stuck on a pillar of rocks just north of the Great Oasis teleporter.Scan itto unlock the upgrade.
Thrusters
TheThrustersare the next piece of the Javelin you can find, all the way up on the very top of Zenethian Rift. After beginning at the Summit of Ruin,go down the slope and keep to the left unitl you enter a small passage, with the broken Javelin waiting at the end. Scan it to unlock the Thruster upgrade.
There is also afloating island below here with a Grind Railthat leads to the broken Javelin you can activate, if you haven’t made it to the Summit of Ruin yet.
Radiator
The very last piece of the Javelin you need, the Radiator upgrade can be found on Quasadron IX. You need the Underwater Scooter to reach it, but you should already have this from the previous planet. It can be foundbeneath the diveable section of water just south of the Savannah Lake teleporter. Scan the submerged Javelin to unlock the final upgrade.
WIth this, the Rusty Javelin can be fully repaired, becoming just a regular Javelin, and one thatcan take you all the way back to Earth. It would take a grand total of6,500 Aluminium, 6,500 Carbon, and 3,100 Silicon. As we said, an expensive investment. Once you interact with the fully-repaired Javelin, it will bring you back to Earth, which in turn will complete the game.
