InXenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, there are quite a few secrets. With such a massive world, it’s five distinct regions can be explored in so many different ways. On foot, in Skells, and even by flying. That gives many opportunities for new discoveries.
This is fairly common in many Xenoblade games, but the scale of X puts it on a whole other level. Here, there are plenty of secret areas to find, going by the name of Scenic Viewpoints and Unexplored Territories. And for the most part, the game is satisfied to let you find them yourself. There’s some great benefits to finding them though, so here’s where you can find them all.
What Are Scenic Viewpoints And Unexplored Territories?
Scenic Viewpoints and Unexplored Territories are what in other Xenoblade games were known as Secret Areas. For the most part, they function the same.They are areas that typically require a bit of extra effort to find, and sometimes need your Skell to even reach.
However, X splits these secret areas into two types, based on their overall intent. For Scenic Viewpoints, these are typicallyareas that give you a great view over the environmentaround you. Unexplored Territories are usually larger, a cave system or some such with plenty of hidden treasures and challenging enemies.
Unlike in other Xenoblade games,these areas do not act as Fast Travel points.
The only shared trait is that they are all difficult to find,sometimes even hidden within caves themselves. You will see on some FrontierNav sites the mention of hidden areas you haven’t found yet. When discovered, these give a massive boost to any Research Probes placed there, and also give you a hint as to the rough area in which these secret areas exist.

There areScenic Viewpoints to find in every regionof the game, with the very most found in Cauldros. Check each region below to find any you’re missing.

There are justtwo Scenic Viewpointsin Primordia, and both of them are quite high up.

Unexplored Territories are significantly larger on average, and are packed with items to find and challenging enemies to battle. The most are found in Noctilum, and quite well hidden.
