Revenge of the Savage Planetis a game that critiques what happens when you let a single corporation gobble up every other company and monopolise space travel. It is also a light-hearted examination of many contemporary social practices. Such as the need to takes pictures of anything and everything, actual circumstances irrelevant.
But if you were laid off and given whole planets to freely roam, what better use of your time is there than making some memories? Xephyr may seem like little more than dunes and cacti, but some choice angles can turn even the most arid desert into a rejuvenating oasis. So here is everywhere you can take a selfie.
What Are Selfies In Revenge Of The Savage Planet?
Calling them selfies might give you the impression that Revenge of the Savage Planet has a photo mode, and that it wants you to take pictures in specific places. While the latter is true, the former is not.You can’t take your own photos in the gamein any bespoke manner. Rather, theselfies are set locationsyou can find on each planet, marked by a pedestal.
To be more specific,these are actually part of the D.I.A.P.E.R. program DLC, and are required for the Interstellar Geographic quest. So even if you’re not lining up the camera and posing yourself, the game still frames some nice shots for you.
And since it turns off the UI,you can take a screenshot of it yourselfif you want.
Every Selfie Location On Xephyr
There are 16 selfie locations in total, with three of them found on Xephyr. They’re fairly spread out, so here is where to find each of them. For some extra help, make sure touse your Survey skill to highlight them if they’re within 100-200 metresfrom you. These won’t stay marked on the map, but will make them a bit easier to find.
You can alsoget a hint for the location of each selfie locationand how many are on a planet from the journal.
Selfie Location #1
The first selfie can be found in the Cactus Valley. This region isnorth of where you initially enter Xephyr. Just keep walking forward until you finally come across some greenery.The Selfie Pedestal is found just south of the teleporterthere, right in plain sight.
Selfie Location #2
The second selfie can be found inthe Great Oasis. This is found far to the east of Xephyr, touching the borders of the planet. Just keep going east until you find the large body of water, there aren’t many. The Selfie Pedestal is found in thesouth-east corner from the teleporter, and will give you a nice shot of the planet in the background.
Selfie Location #3
The third selfie location can be found in theG’nortt’s High Riseregion. This is itself south of the Cactus Valley, and the Selfie Pedestal is almost directly south of the one in that region, too. It is up in the hills, directly to thenorth-west of the nearby teleporter.
With that, you should have all of Xephyr’s selfies found. You can check this from the mission in the journal.Any picture in black-and-white is one that has been taken, while those in colour are yet to be taken. With these selfies out of the way, you are one step closer to completing the Interstellar Geographic mission.
Selfie Location #4
The fourth and final selfie location is found in theLarval Roost, where you first battle Wormzilla. It can be found atop thehill on the westof the region, overlooking the rest of the region.
