The Bloodied Sanctuary is the second-to-last main mission inThe First Berserker: Khazan. It is a sprawling mission that will take you up, around, and through a massive temple. You’ll scour the garden below, tiptoe across the rafters above, and fight your way through a vast horde of demonic creatures.
This guide will help you navigate the many tricky encounters, warn you of all the traps you’ll encounter, and give you advice on how to defeat the elite minibosses scattered throughout. Naturally, I’ll show you where to find every treasure, Soulstone, and Jarling along the way.
The Great Temple

Head forward into the temple, and tether to thePath to the Temple Blade Nexus. Once you push open the door, you’ll be in the Great Temple’s massive courtyard.
There are two Beasts of Rampage patrolling this area. Thankfully, there are also those chaos clusters scattered around, which you can use to stun foes and land a free Brutal Attack. Watch out,there are Corrupters and Frightened Citizensscattered around as well.
Just hit the Chaos Clusters until they start glowing and draw the beasts into the glowing area to trap them.
Take a right, and turn the corner to find 15Transmutation Shards.
Take a leftcoming out of the entrance, climb the staircase, and you’ll be in a small area with two Observers and a Beast of Rampage (he’s hidden around the corner). Once you take them out, collect theLarge Spirit Ore.
There is anUnstable Soul Tearstonenext to the fountain. On the right side of the map, you’ll find anEarth Spirit’s Fuel. If you travel up the stairs on the left side of this area, you’ll find a locked gate and aWater Cleanse Potion. In the left corner of the arena, on the edge, you’ll find theEarth Enhancer. There is another Beast of Rampage back here as well.
The First Soulstone
Across from the courtyard entrance, on the left side, you’ll find thefirst Soulstone (1/5)in the ruins of a small room. To the right of the room with the Soulstone, you’ll find a room with an elevator and a ladder. We’ll worry about the elevator later. For now,climb the ladder.
Elite Corrupted High Cleric
At the top of the ladder, you’ll see an Elite Corrupted High Cleric. This guy has a mixture of physical attacks and magical spells. His most potent move sees him generate a magic shield before rushing forward. Avoid the magical seals he places on the floor,get in close, and pressure him with a flurry of slashes. That will prevent him from using his more potent attacks.
Once you kill them, you’ll get theRadiant Guardian’s Scroll. Head straight, go past the ladder, and you’ll find anotherUnstable Soul Tearstone. Now, slide down the ladder, and you’ll be in a room with a chest. Open it to get aTemple Knight’s Spear, Temple Knight’s Ring, Necklace of Gratitude, and twoChaos Cleanse Potions.
Now, head back to that elevator, take it down, and you’ll fight a Yoma Pursuer. Watch out, there is also a Devotee hiding above, so prepare for them to jump down and attack you. There are threeVitality Spheressitting on the stone on the edge overlooking the lake. Follow the path, you’ll see two more Yoma Pursuers and an Observer. If you stay on the path, take a right, and you’ll find aLightning Cleanse Potionin front of a statue. Watch out, there is a Yoma Shamen hiding to the left.
Head back to the path, and head toward the door, and you’ll fight aSaint of Sin. Knock her down from a distance with a javelin, then rush up and you may even be able to kill her before she has a chance to fight back. Now head up the stairs and you’ll find theReese 2document at the foot of the statue.
The Second Soulstone
Once you leave the room with the Reese 2 document, take a left immediately and follow the path around, and you’ll seethe second Soulstone (2/5). Now, head across the bridge, and you’ll encounter thePath of the Chapel Blade Nexus.
Path To The Chapel
Yoma Pursuer, Yoma Shamen, Yoma Jester, Elite Soulbound Knight, Corrupter, Frightened Citizen

This section of the mission will start with two Yoma Shamens firing projectiles at you from the left, while a Yoma Pursuer will head toward you. Take the Shamens out with javelins before fighting the Pursuer. In the next area, there are a few Yoma Jesters picking at a corpse. Next to them is aConcentrated Earth Essence. There is anUnstable Soul Tearstonein the mausoleum next to this area.
The Elite Soulbound Knight And The Statue Puzzle
Open the doors, and you’ll face an Elite Soulbound Knight. You’ll be rewarded with theConfessions of Viladusas well as a bunch of pieces of equipment. Once you defeat the Soulbound Knight,turn the statues so that they face each other.A passageway will now open up. In this passageway, you’ll run into Corrupters and Corrupted Citizens. None of these are cowering citizens, all of them will attack, so feel free to go hog wild.
The Jarling’s Location
In this next area, you’ll encounter a Twisted Mage and a few more Corrupted Citizens. The first door on your left has three Assassin’s Elixirs inside. Further down the hallways, the room on the right has another Corrupted Citizen and aJarlinginside.
Head up the stairs, then, turn around and head to the area behind the stairs, you’ll see a chest with aGolden Dual Wield, Crusader’s Pants, Veteran’s Ring, andLightning Spirit’s Fuelcontained within. Now, head to the elevator, stand on the button, and travel to the top. Exit into the next area, take a right, and you may grab thePlague Cleanse Potion. Now, bind theMain Entrance of the Temple Blade Nexus.
Main Entrance Of The Temple

Once you enter through the temple doors, take a right, go straight, and then take another right. You will enter through an illusory wall.
The Third Soulstone
Behind the illusory wall are two Yoma Shamens and the thirdSoulstone (3/5). Now, head up the stairs, and you’ll encounter another Corrupted High Cleric and two Yoma Jesters. Once you take them out, you’ll be able to grab theTemple Knight’s Scrollfrom in front of the statue. Once you head to the other end of the hallway, you’ll find Yoma Pursuer hiding to your right. Enter the balcony, and you’ll face another Jester and another Pursuer.
Hop down, and look left. You’ll see aFire Enhanceron the edge. Watch out,there is a Devotee above, waiting to ambush you. Slide down the ladder, and head down the stairs (don’t take the elevator yet). Pull the lever to open a shortcut to the Blade Nexus. Now, head to that elevator, but instead of standing on the button, take the ladder down, and you’ll fight a Beast of Rampage on the roof. Fight him near the ladder, as there is an Observer to your left.
Once you kill the Beast of Rampage, take out the Observer around the corner on your left, then throw a javelin at the Observer on the roof across the way. Now, cross over to that roof, there is a Yoma Pursuer crouching in front of15 Transmutation Orbs, but watch out, as this is a trap. To the left of him is another Beast of Rampage waiting to ambush you.
Once you take them out, hop down to the roof below where you can see theEarth Disruption Parchmentglistening. From here, climb onto the rafters, and grab theReese 3note. Climb down the ladder and fight the Yoma Shaman and the two Yoma Jesters. Then grab theUnstable Soul Tearstone.If you drop down, you will be in the room where you fought theElite Soulbound Knight, so, instead, climb back up the ladder, then jump down onto the roof with the ladder on it.
The Fourth Soulstone
Once you get to the roof with the ladder on it, that will lead you back up to where the Beast of Rampage and Yoma Pursuer were. Instead of climbing the ladder, turn the corner, and you’ll see the fourthSoulstone (4/5).
Climb up, and hop down to the area with the bridge that is being patrolled by a Devotee. Take them out, then open the chest to get aWild Ghost Necklace, Crimson Fiend Mask, Crimson Fiend Top, Crimson Fiend Wristguards, Crimson Fiend Pants,andCrimson Fiend Shackles.Finally, head back up the ladder to the elevator, and take the elevator up.
In the next area, you will be navigating the narrow stone platforms above as a bunch of Yoma Shamans fire projectiles at you, and Yoma Pursuers confront you. Your best bet is to take the Shamans out with Javelins from the elevator. Once you hop down, take an immediate left and follow it up to get sevenSpirit Orbs. Now, work your way down and around, then back up again to get to the other corner of this area and enter a room with a frenzied Yoma Pursuer.
It is very easy for the Pursuers to knock you off the ledge, so you may want to take them out with javelins as well. Otherwise, you can sneak around them using the pillars as cover. Or, you know, just push them over the edge first.
The Fifth Soulstone
Once you take them out, follow the path forward and you will reach a ladder. Climb the ladder, and you’ll see a Shaman, a Devotee, and a few Pursuers as well as aSoulstone (5/5)off in the distance. Throw a javelin at the Soulstone, and then throw javelins at the Shaman and the Devotee. The frenzied pursuer is standing overUnstable Soul Tearstone. Once you clear this area out, you’ll see a massive chandelier with multiple glistening items on it. Cut the chain holding it up.
Once you work your way to the end of the rafters, where you can hop down into a safe area. Now, follow the path forward, you’ll fight one more Pursuer, then, you’ll slide down a ladder, and see an area with a massive square hole. Drop down into the hole while aiming for the crisscrossing rafters. Once you get to the bottom, there is a chest in the nearby cell. Open it to get aSacred Greatsword, Radiant Guardian’s Gauntlet, Necklace of Resolve, and aChaos Cleanse Potion. Now, bind with theGreat Garden Blade Nexus.
Great Garden
Servant of Chaos, Yoma Shamen, Yoma Pursuer, Yoma Jester, Soulbound Knight, Revenant Devourer
Unstable Soul Tearstone, Large Spirit Ore, 2x Crimson Meteorites, Spirit Ore
Once you enter the garden, you’ll see two Servant of Chaos golems. Thankfully, this area is lined with chaos cluster stones, so, just like what you did with the Beast of Rampages at the beginning of this mission, you’re able to lead the Servant of Chaoses into their radius,destroy them, and they’ll be stunned.You should be able to kill the golems in about two execution attacks, so make use of those Chaos Clusters.
Once you clear them out, go to the entrance, and take a left. You’ll find aSpecial Cleanse Potionon a staircase on your left. Nearby, there is aHallucination Cleanse Potionnext to a statue. There is anUnstable Soul Tearstonein the gazebo, twoTransmutation Mistsnext to the tree with the square-shaped shrubbery surrounding it, and aLarge Spirit Oreon the perimeter of this arena.
Across the garden from where you entered, and on the left, you’ll enter into a back area with a set of steps (there is a chaos cluster blocking the steps). Follow the stairs up, and you’ll be in front of a treasure chest. It contains aGolden Dual Wield, Radiant Guardian’s Pauldrons, Necklace of Good Fortune,and aChaos Cleanse Potion.
Drop down, and you will be facing the back of a Yoma Shamen. In the area below, there are two Yoma Jesters, in the area ahead of you, you’ll find two Yoma Shamens and a Yoma Pursuer huddled behind a statue. There are threeAssassin Elixirsnext to them. There are two more Pursuers in the next area.
Elite Servant Of Chaos
Once you take them out, you’ll enter the arena that was blocked off earlier when you first entered the temple. You face off against an Elite Servant of Chaos. Before you fight them, take a right, circle the area, and unlock the gate so that you can quickly return to this area by way of the Main Entrance Of The Temple Blade Nexus. There are also twoCrimson Meteoritesand aPoison Enhancernear the fallen chandelier. This is the one you cut down earlier.
Facing the statue, with your back to the chandelier, there is a room to the left with two Yoma Jesters and a Soulbound Knight. Take them out, open the chest, and you’ll get aSpear of Glory, Saint’s Helm, Necklace of Resolve,andSpirit Ore.Cross back across the boss arena, and you’ll see two Yoma Jesters hanging out in front of a chest. This is a trap. Once you confront them, a Revenant Devourer will pop out of the ground. Once you clear them out, open the chest and it will explode. Loot the rubble to get aFugitive Mage’s Greatswordand20 Keen Blades.
Now, climb the spiraling staircase, and you’ll be at the boss gate. Activate the Blade Nexus, and then step forward when you are readyto battle the powerful chaos magic-wielding cleric: Reese.
