The Master of Chaos is the final mission in the main story ofThe First Berserker: Khazanand it is here to send you off in style. This level features a large, sprawling castle packed with demonic foes. You’ll be shimmying along the rafters, hopping between pieces of floating debris, and navigating through winding courtyards in pursuit of this game’s finale.

As we’ve done for every mission before this one, we’ll take you through all the sections of this stage, and point you in the direction of all the hidden treasures. Naturally, that includes the final four Soulstones and the last Jarling. We’ll also help you avoid the many, many traps this final mission is lined with.

Once you enter through the doors, there will be two Beasts of Madness on the left and the right and an Elite Corrupted High Cleric in the center. Obviously, you are going to want to take the Beasts of Madness out in isolation. Once you clear them out, you’ll find anEarth Enhancerin the top right, and in the bottom right corner you’ll find twoTransmutation Mists. Now, pull the lever up above.

The First Soulstone

Head down to the base level, there will be a set of stairs leading down. You’ll see a ladder on your right, take a left instead and travel up a set of stairs, and you’ll be face to face with aSoulstone (1/4). Now, head back down and climb the ladder.

From the ladder, head forward, and jump down the gap on your left. Fight three Corruptors. Pick up theUnstable Soul Tearstone, leave through the hole in the wall, and you’ll be back in the cathedral, head up the ladder. Now, step on the button to activate the elevator, and exit through the entryway youjustentered through. Follow the hallway, and you’ll be face to face with the secondSoulstone (2/4). Head up the stairs and you may grab anUnstable Soul Tearstone.

Go back and stand on that button. Now, climb the stairs and travel around. You’ll find yourself in large room with no enemies. You’ll also see that Daphrona is also here… Before talking with her, interact with theCorrupted Lounge Blade Nexus.

The two twisted mages in the Master Of Chaos mission of The First Berserker Khazan.

As we already said, there are no enemies here to contend with. There aren’t any secrets hidden about either. From the area where you entered the lounge, if you take a left, you’ll find a corpse in a back room with anUnstable Soul Tearstone. After that, the only thing left to do here is talk to Daphrona.

DoNOTtalk to Daphrona yet if you aren’t certain you’ve met the requirements to receive the best ending - if that is something you care about, that is.

Speaking To Daphrona

Depending on what conditions you’ve fulfilled, you’ll be able to select your ending here. Your options are…

Pick your poison, and then climb the staircase in the center of the lounge when you are ready to move forward. You’ll now be in a library. There are a total of five Shamans spread around here, with four Pursuers and three Jesters. Additionally, all of the Pursuers are frenzied.

Take out the two Shamans and the Jester on your left, then head to the right of the entrance. You’ll deal with a pair of Shamans and and a pair of Jesters in this back corner.Explore the nook back here, and you’ll find that there is a suspicious book that will open a secret area withtwo Fossilized Wooyo’sinside.

Now climb up and over the staircase on wheels into the next area. There is a Shaman and a Pursuer a little to the right of you. Once you take them out, you’ll find aLarge Spirit Oresitting in front of a bookshelf. Exit through the left side of the room (just follow the blood smears on the ground), and you’ll see a Purusuer clawing at a corpse on your left. Before sneaking up on them, take out the Shaman on your right. They’ll be concealed by a bookshelf. Once you take them out get theUnstable Soul Tearstone

The Third Soulstone

On the next floor, you’ll encounter two Shamans and two Pursuers: clear them out and head up the next set of stairs. Once you’re on the next floor, take a right, but before you reach the corner, look to your left where the banister has been broken offf. The thirdSoulstone (3/3)is sitting atop a pillar. Watch out, there is a Twisted Mage to the left of the doorway looking to ambush you.

You’ll enter a section with a spiraling staircase. If you go down, you’ll find sevenSpirit Orbs. Go up, kill the Shaman, and grab the twoInner Essencesfrom inside the circular room.

Enter the balcony, kill the Pursuer, and follow the spiraling staircase up and head down the hallway. Watch out, as there is a Devotee hiding above the doorway. Open the chest, and you’ll receive aGolden Dual Wield, Crusader’s Top, Cleric’s Ring, andFire Spirit’s Fuel.Exit out the corner of the room, and you’ll be able to activate theImperial Palace Garden Blade Nexus.

Now, head to the area that was opposite where you entered. If you go straight, you’ll see that the doors are locked. Take a right and you’ll fight two frenzied Pursuers. Now, head up the stairs, head to your right.

The Master Of Chaos Jarling

Near the back wall, beside a downed display case, you’ll find thefinalJarling. Now enter the nearby room, and you’ll enter a room with aWater Spirit Fuelin front of the bed. Jump down the hole. You’ll find two Pursuers and a Shaman in the connecting room.

Head down the stairs, and you’ll enter a cellar filled with Polluted and Frenzied Husks. Clear the husks out first and then fight the Failed Creation. Now, you’ll find threeBlood-soaked Stoneshardin the back corner. You’ll also find anUnstable Soul Tearstonehidden behind a shelf filled with kegs. Now, head toward the massive hole in the wall, but don’t exit through it yet. Instead, take a left up the stairs. There are two Shaman up here and an exploding chest. Loot the rubble to get aSpear of Faded Memoriesand20 Keen Blades. Drop down onto the rubble, move forward.

The Fourth Soulstone

As you are about to enter into an area with a lever, look to your left. Don’t be fooled by that wall, it is an illusion. Heading down the right set of stairs will take you to aLarge Spirit Ore. The left set of stairs will take you to a bridge. Another Beast of Madness will rush you once you step on that bridge.

Climb the stairs and get the Chaos Cleanse potion sitting near the edge. Now, in the next area, you’ll see a massive fountain with two Soulbound Knights patrolling around it. Luckily, there are also a few of those Chaos Clusters, which you may use to stun them.

Once you clear them out, climb the stairs, get theUnstable Soul Tearstonefrom the corpse, and drop down onto the fountain below. You’ll be able to get thethree Northern Warrior’s Blades.Head forward into the next area, and activate theCelestial Tower Blade Nexus.

Celestial Tower

Beast of Madness, Saint of Sin, Undead Ice Archer, Undead Shield Bearer, Red-Eyed Boulder Bat, Yoma Shaman

Elite Twisted Mage, Yoma Pursuer, Yoma Shaman, Polluted Husk, Frenzied Husk, Failed Creation,

Let’s start by crossing the bridge. Once you hit the central gazebo, you’ll be rushed by a nearby Beast of Madness. Back up a little so that you don’t attract the attention of the one across the way. Then take out his buddy who’s crouching and get theLarge Spirit Ore.

Head toward the area where that first Beast of Madness charged you from, and take out theSaint of Sin. Inside the chest she’s guarding is aSacred Greatsword, Radiant Guardian’s Leggings, Necklace of Life, and aSpirit Ore. Now, simply head through the entryway next to the Blade Nexus, climb the stairs, and take the lift up.

In this next area, you’ll need to fall on the floating debris traveling up and down in front of the shattered stone path. Once on top, wait until it is as high as it will go, and drop down onto the remnants of the other side of the stone path. Don’t move forward yet. There is an Undead Ice Archer in the distance, and an Undead Shieldbearer dead ahead. Take out the archer with a javelin, and confront the Shieldbearer. Dodge around him, ashe is going to do his best to shove you off the platformand to your death. After taking them out, grab theWater Enhancersitting nearby.

Once you jump down, the entire platform will rotate 90 degrees forward, so make sure you are facing the wall or the pillar so that you will have a place to land. Now move to the corner of the platform and cross over to the ladder. Climb the ladder, and drop onto the floating stone platforms, but don’t dawdle, as they will crumble under your feet.

Now, jump down onto the next rock platform and grab theSpecial Cleanse Potion. However, don’t move to the next platform yet. First, look for the Red-Eyed Boulder Bat. Hit it with a javelinand then rush in and take it out. It is very, very easy for it to knock you off this platform and to your death. So, if you have to fight it at all, just make sure your back is to the wall.

Once you climb the ladder, be careful. The next area will rotate 90 degrees.Just like before, head for the right corner and cross over to the floating rubble. Grab theLightning Spirit’s Fuel, then leap down onto the floating rubble. You’ll now be at a set of locked doors. Head up the stairs and take the elevator down. You’ll now have a quick route back up from the Blade Nexus.

Jump down the hole next to the elevator and open the doors. Now, cross the bridge. If you take the first left on the bridge you’ll get aFire Enhancer. Inthe center of the bridge, there’s anUnstable Soul Tearstone. Finally, the final right before the end of the bridge holds youanotherUnstable Soul Tearstone. However, those chaos projectiles will start raining down on you once you start crossing the bridge. So,for now, don’t worry about the itemslittered all around the bridge.

Instead, sprint to the other side, and fight the two Shieldbearers, kill the Yoma Shamen summoning the fireballs, andthengo loot the bridge. Now, climb the stairs, you will face off against one more Servant of Chaos. Once you have defeated him, open the giant doors, and move into the final area. Interact with theAudience Chamber Blade Nexus.

Audience Chamber

If you haven’t talked to Daphora yet, don’t enter the boss arena until you have done so. This is your last chance to tie up those loose knots and complete side missions or collect Ozma’s Diary Fragments to get the best ending. If you start walking up those stairs toward the gate without talking to her,you will be locked to the normal ending.

Preparation For Ozma

Before you fight Ozma, here are a few things I’d recommend taking into consideration. For starters, Ozma uses a wide variety of magical spells, so you will want toconsider taking potions that will cleanse flame, frost, and chaosstatus ailments.

If you are looking for a specific element to prepare for, that would be Chaos, as the majority of his spells are chaos magic-based.Eitherthe Radiant Guardian or theSaint armor sets would work wellhere to provide you with a substantial amount of resistance to the Chaos element.

As for what weapon works best, you can absolutely make due with any of the three, but the Spear’s mobility is greatly beneficial when dealing with Ozma’s massive AOE attacks. Lastly, when it comes to Phantoms,Keshta’s boost to your stamina recoverywill be extremely useful, butAdelhaide’s improved healing, and the ability to regain Netherworld Energy charges when you run out, can really help to improve your survivability. I’d say you can’t go wrong with either.
