There are a lot of weapons and armor inStalker 2, and some of them won’t be in the best shape when you get them. Even if you get the guns in pristine condition, you’ll want to upgrade them to maximize their effectiveness and add accessories like laser pointers or rails for sights. That’s why you’ll need a technician.

There are a lot of technicians scattered around the zone, and they’re not marked on your map for you to easily find them. Some of them you’ll need to find on your own or unlock through missions; that’s why you’ll need to know where they are.

Technician Availability In The Zone

While most technicians in the zone can be accessed, even the ones that can upgrade every type of gear, siding with Ward will give you more options. That’s because Ward has a couple of bases around the zone that you can only access by following the main story and siding with the faction.

If you side with any other faction, then you’ll be blocked from interacting with the technicians in Ward bases because they’ll either be locked or hostile.
