Trying to save all of Avalon from the Wyrd is a difficult task. There’s a lot going on, and you might want a break from it all. When you do,Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalonoffers numerous side quests to distract you from the end of the world.

One of the Keepers in the Horns of the South tends to a rooftop garden, and you’ll need to help him out. Of course, he won’t make ti easy, but it’s worth a small break from the doom and gloom of the Wyrd, at least for a little while in Avalon.

How To Complete The Roots Of The Knowledge Quest

Before you may start the Pumpkin Peril quest, you’ll need tomeet with Eogan on the towerin the Keepers stronghold. Talk with him about his garden to get a tip aboutspeaking with his best friend in the mess hall kitchen.

Eogan doesn’t like talking, so things will go smoother if you just nod and go along with what he says.

Headdown the scaffoldingfrom the tower and enter thebuilding across from the Quartermaster’s office. Chat with Ruiarc about why Eogan is so grumpy to learn some more background information. Equipped with that knowledge,return to Eoganto see if you may help him in any way.

He’llgive you a handful of seedsto plant in the garden. Useany of the marked gardening plotsto plant the seeds, thenwait 36 hoursfor the mysterious plant to grow. Come back and collect the herb, then hand it to Eogan.

He’s impressed enough and decides it’stime to grow something bigger. Much bigger. Eogan tasks you withfinding pumpkin seedsin the Horns of the South, which is much easier said than done.

Where To Get Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seeds can’t just be purchased from any vendor. To find them, you’ll need toventure northeast from the fort, past the abandoned village. The place you’re looking for isa small farm called Roscree, west of the All-Mother Temple from theShadows of the Horns quest.

Fast travel here at night, during the Wyrd hours, tofind two skeletonsgardening on the farm.Talk to the Jolly Skeleton on the rightto purchase crops from him. He’s a typical vendor for the most part, but he alsocarries pumpkin seeds for 80 gold.

If the skeletons aren’t there,try fast traveling back to the keep, then go back to Roscree to reload the area.

What Happens After You Plant The Seeds?

When you bring the seeds to Eogan, you have achance to warn him about the suspicious circumstancesyou bought them under. After all, mostpeople aren’t immune to the effects of the Wyrd.Eogan will ignore your warnings and plant the seeds.

Come back in a day or twoto find a fully grown Wyrd pumpkin! You’ll know it’s there where youstart taking damage in the gardenwithout there being any enemies.

The only way to stop the damage is tobreak the pumpkin. If you look past it, you’ll see Eogan slumped over in the back. It seems he wasn’t fortunate enough to realize what was happening before it killed him.

There’s nothing left for you to do here, but you may still use the garden if you come across any seeds!
