Once you defeat the Volbaino, you will unlock the Jar Enthusiast quest inThe First Berserker: Khazan. This mission is a little different from some of the others, as you are going to need to go on the hunt for six appropriately named Jarlings.
These creatures hide inside jars. You’ll need to smash, destroy, and sift through every jar located all around a small village. And what for? Well, the fabulous prize of jar-based headwear! In addition, this will unlock Jarlings in other stages as well. We’ll walk you through where each of these Jarlings is located.
How To Unlock The Jar Enthusiasts Quest
You’ll unlock this quest once by talking to Duimuk at the crevice after you’ve defeated Volbaino. The option to converse with him about the Jar Enthusiasts will be above the ‘purchase’ option in the shop menu, once you select that, he’ll gladly tell you about the odd man who is looking to talk to you. Now, you’ll be able to select the quest from the Phraugh Village section of the Charnak Mountain Range .
Where To Find The Six Jarlings
After selecting the Jar Enthusiasts quest on the map, you’ll be taken back to Phraugh. You’ll spawn right in front of Danjin. Talk to him and he’ll tell you about his missing Jarlings. You’ll now be tasked with locating the six that are scattered around this area.
You won’t be dealing with many enemies during this quest, though you will have to contend with a few phantoms. These undead warriors are invisible outside their footsteps. You will need to wait for them to reveal themselves before you’re able to attack them. Just be prepared to dodge, as once they come out of hiding they like to perform a grab attack that will see them snatch you and stab you multiple times.
Head down the main path into the village, you’ll pass under a bridge. This is where you’ll encounter your first phantom. Once you are in and around the houses, climb the ladder, climb up it, and continue along the path. You’ll find the first Jarling in apot sitting in front of the bridge(1/6).
Continue along the rooftops, once you get to a ladder, drop down and fight one of those phantoms. You’ll find Soul Tears on the corpse here, and another Jarlingin the shop connected to the ladderyoujustjumped down - it is in the corner opposite the stove (2/6).
Leave that hovel and hook around to the grassy area beside the house you were just in, you will find aMysterious Energy-Emmiting Orehidden behind some jars.
Continue forward through a building, up a ladder, and onto a wooden platform. When you seea boat lying on the steps to the right of the path, look in the shop opposite it: you’ll find another Jarling (3/6).
Now, head down the path where you saw the boat. Once you come to a section where the path turns sharply to the right,enter the building on your left. There is a Jarling in the corner of this home (4/6).
Continue on the main path until you see a massive threshold. Another Jarling is hiddento the right of this gateway(5/6). Now, head through that threshold, and follow the path all the way to the bottom.
There is a sealed set of doors at the end of the path.To the left of the doors, you’ll find the final Jarling (6/6), to the right of it, you’ll find the secondMysterious Energy-Emmiting Oretucked away in the corner.
Once you locate the final Jarling, and send them back to Danjin, a portal will open up in the same area where you found the fifth Jarling (the one next to the gateway). This will take you back to the Crevice!
