There are dozens of armor pieces to collect inOblivion Remastered, and thepowerful array of armor enchantmentsto choose from makes it challenging to pick the best. If you specialize in Light Armor, you’ll sacrifice your base defensive values, but will be rewarded with armor that’s easier to sneak in and allows for higher spell effectiveness than heavy armor.
These top-tier, uniquely enchanted Light Armor pieces offer a variety of excellent effects, from quality-of-life help to some major boons for mages. Whether you’re a thief, a warrior, or just an adventurer in search of underwater loot, the best light armor in Oblivion will help you achieve your goals.

All armor enchantment magnitudes are for level 30+ leveled gear, where applicable.
8Fin Gleam
Fine Gleam is one of the best helmets you can get from the very beginning of the game, as it spawns into the world as soon as you begin your playthrough. Head over to the western edge of Cyrodiil to the island off the coast of Anvil, and you’ll find Fin Gleam underwater off the southwestern edge.
Once you have it, Fin Gleam is perfect for surviving any underwater section without needing to reserve magicka and refresh your Water Breathing spells. Nighteye is the perfect accompaniment and will ensure you can see well in dimly lit caves.

7Saviour’s Hide
Saviour’s Hide is a fantastic Daedric Artifact that you receive asa reward for completing the Hircine Shrine quest.Warriors will appreciate the magic resistance as a massive help against ranged mages, while the unique appearance offers one of the most visually distinct Cuirass choices in the game.
If you don’t have a full set of armor that offers Spell Absorption, this is a great choice to fill out your gear whilegrinding your magic skills to 100.

While its single effect is slightly underwhelming once you begin enchanting your gear, this piece is still an excellent choice, especially if you’re prioritizing fashion.
This two-piece set is an amazing reason tojoin the Dark Brotherhood as soon as you canin Oblivion Remastered, as it’s given to you for free once you finish your initiation into the Brotherhood.

While the ten-point total fortification effects won’t hold much weight in the late-game, this is arguably the best early-game armor you may get, especially when most of your skills are only between 25 and 50.
5Amber Armor Set
Amber Armor is a very strong endgame variant, exclusively available in the Shivering Isles. Head over to Dumag gro-Bonk at The Missing Pauldron and bring him Amber and the corresponding Amber Matrices to craft this powerful set.
Unfortunately, this set is difficult to obtain, given that you need to find the matrices and raw materials yourself before you can acquire the armor. If you can make use of the enchantments, this set will serve you extremely well.

4Boots Of Bloody Bounding
The Boots of Bloody Bounding offer top-tier fortification enchantments at maximum level, but unfortunately, you’ll need to grind up to level 30 or above beforecompleting The Renegade Shadowscale questduring the Dark Brotherhood questline.
Unfortunately, given the nature of the Dark Brotherhood questline, the Renegade Shadowscale is only available for a limited time and becomes impossible to finish once you progress too far into the main Dark Brotherhood quests.

The massive Acrobatics buff is always useful, even when you hit level 100, and Blade is one of the harder skills to level up, so the extra boons are greatly appreciated.
3Birthright Of Astalon
The Birthright of Astalon is one of the easiest Light Armor pieces to acquire on this list,if you have the goldto pay for it. 50 points of additional Magicka is a solid boon, plus the extra Agility gives more damage to characters who use shortswords or daggers.
This Light Armor piece is available for purchase from Claudette Perrick at The Gilded Carafe once you have 50 Mercantile or above.

In addition to the excellent enchantments, this armor piece’s Elven design is visually stunning and thematically fitting for a character who would benefit from this armor piece.
2Diadem Of Euphoria
The Diadem of Euphoria is a major upgrade on most other Light Armor pieces, especially considering it essentially combines the premier enchantments from Saviour’s Hide and Birthright of Astalon into one powerful headpiece. Luckily, there aren’t many better options for mage characters who enjoy chatting up their fellow citizens.
When combined with the Birthright of Astalon, you’ll gain90 more points of Magickaover your base total, while when combined with Saviour’s Hide, this Diadem contributes to45 percent Magic resistance.

1Raiment Of The Crimson Scar
The Raiment of the Crimson Scar is easily the best single piece of Light Armor in the game, though it’s worth noting that you’re able to only wear headgear with it.
Since this is categorized as a Robe, it takes up your chest, legs, feet, and hand slots, leaving only your head, ring, and amulet slots open.

Despite the limited pairings that this armor allows, its incredibly powerful set of boons makes it one of the strongest mid-to-late-game armor pieces, especially if you haven’t already reached 100 in each of the skills it fortifies. Based on the sheer volume of boons and immense visual appeal, this is the best Light Armor in Oblivion Remastered.
