When you’re creating a Zoi inInZoi, beyond choosing their physical appearance and what awesome threads they get to wear, you also have to choose a couple of options that affect their personality, one of which is selecting a Trait.
There are 18 Traits in total to choose from, and whichever one you pick will influence your Zoi, affecting which emotions and needs may arise for them as they go about their daily lives. With so many Traits on offer, it can be hard to pick which to assign, so here’s what you need to know.

InZoi is currently in Early Access and the gameplay will change over time. We’ll update this guide as the game changes.
What Do Traits Affect?
Traitscannot be changedonce you have created your Zoi, so choose carefully. Traits influence a Zoi’s values and preferences, affecting their expectations and relationship dynamics, and giving them set values.

Characteristics
Mediators balance strength and gentleness, andprioritise peace and harmonyfirst and foremost, but they often procrastinate and lack focus on achieving goals. They work hard to maintain good relationships and areadept at comforting and mediatingothers, but they can bestubborn and defensiveat times.
Dreamersvalue peacethe most and hate anything that may disrupt their harmonious lives. They arevery kindto others, but theirpassive personalities can hinder actively pursuing goals, and their lofty ideals can sometimes make them feel superior to others.

Perfectionists havevery high standardsfor themselves and other Zois, and always aim to ensure that everything is done flawlessly. These Zoisrarely show emotions, which can make them appear aloof to others.
They makerational decisions and have a strong sense of justiceand responsibility. They arevery disciplined in pursuing personal goalsand are meticulous planners.

Social activists live byvery high standardsthat they set for themselves, and have a strong sense of improving society. They arekeen rule followersand aim to be an example that others look up to. They arevery interested in social issuesand do not back down when faced with challenges.
Volunteers arevery intuitiveand are great at picking up on the emotions of others, which makes them veryempathetic and kind. Their focus on helping others can cause them toneglect their own needs. They like to be positive influences, but prefer to do so quietly out of the limelight.
Charmers arevery happy and easily make friendswith other Zois. They are very open with their emotions, so they areaffectionate with othersand aim to be loved by everyone around them.
They can sometimes beanxious and possessive, especially when fearing the loss of love, and may sometimes use their excellent communication skills to manipulate others into perceiving them better.
Socialites haveoutstanding social skillsand will often make great impressions on other Zois. Theypursue success and value social recognition, and enjoy being the center of attention. They are proud of being a social butterfly and, as a result, arevery conscious of what others think of them, and will often compare themselves or feel competitive with others.
Go-Getters are verydriven for success, and their ambitious nature means they are verygoal-oriented. They value working hard andfocus on their career over their personal life, which can lead to them neglecting the feelings of others and coming across as selfish.
Visionaries arevery artisticand like to show their talent and creativity to others, as theylike to feel special. They are very sensitive and canexpress their emotions well, but they can beoverwhelmed by their emotionsand become volatile. They are very self-aware and are conscious of how others perceive them, which results in them taking great pride in how they present themselves.
Individualists arevery independentand focus on their own thoughts and feelings more than being influenced by social perceptions or conventions. They have akeen interest in social sciences and they can also be creative. They dislike communicating with those who don’t understand the topic, which can make themappear reclusive.
Scholarspursue knowledge and learning new skillsin their profession. They enjoy theory, scientific technology, and using their knowledge to assist others. They aremore interested in objects and science than people, but they are still well equipped to collaborate with others.
Explorers arecurious about the world around themand are quick learners who arekeen to increase their own knowledge. They enjoy research and coming up with new ideas, and theirfascination with the surreal and fantasy can cause them to get lost in their own imagination. They prefer to be alone and lack social skills, but they can converse well in a professional setting.
Collaborators are verytrustworthy and reliable, resulting in them beingdedicated partners and loyal friends. They can stay calm even in tense situations. They are well equipped to find perfect solutions and are oftenpraised for being capable. These Zoisvalue their relationships with others, and often prefer to work in groups, receiving advice from others, as they struggle to make decisions alone.
Sentinelswish for stabilityand aim to avoid unexpected situations with astrong sense of caution and responsibility. They appear to be reliable Zois, but can be overwhelmed by their own catastrophising. Theyprioritise safety and trust in relationshipsand are highly loyal to those around them, resulting in long-lasting relationships. However, theytend to suppress their emotions.
Adventurers havea lot of drive and energy, which allows them to accomplish personal goals quickly. They enjoy life and achieving goals, but theirgoal-oriented personality and materialistic nature can make them appear self-centered. They also show more interest in activities than forming relationships with others.
Entertainers arehighly optimistic and energetic, love to embrace new experiences, and have agreat sense of humour. They are great to be around and, as a result, arevery skilled at forming relationships with others. They work well with others but can struggle to focus on tasks for long periods as they havea low threshold for boredom.
Leaders have a lot ofstrength and confidence, so while they may listen to opinions of others, they will strongly advocate for their own views. They areprotective and kind, but often evaluate others and strategise the best approach in situations. They arecomposed most of the time, but when angered they can be overwhelmedand snap.
Authoritariansprioritise power and dominance, and they like to be in control. They are veryassertive and dislike being criticised. They are confident and charismatic, which lends itself well to their leadership skills, and they aredriven to fight for what they believe is right.
Can I Change My Zoi’s Trait?
Once a Zoi has been created and a Trait is chosen,their Trait cannot be changed. This may change later in development, or become possible via cheats.
