Summary
Elden Ring Nightreign’s launch date is fast approaching, with the newFromSoftwaregame set to be with us on May 30. As we’re now in its release month, we have a new trailer. It’s ten minutes long, so it goes over a lot.
Here, we get an extensive look at how Nightreign will play, but there’s one detail that stands out in particular - you may cosplay as Solaire fromDark Souls.
Want To Play Dark Souls Dress-Up? You Can Pretend To Be Solaire In Elden Ring Nightreign
The trailer goes over the eight playable characters, or nightfarers, available in Nightreign. However, just because we have to choose from pre-made characters rather than build our own, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t any customisation options open to us.
At around the 7:49 mark, we’re shown some of the new costumes that we can unlock for the nightfarers. We’re then told that “some costumes might even look familiar”, as we’re then shown the cast dressed up as characters from previous FromSoft games, including Solaire.
We appear to see the Solaire outfit being modelled by Guardian, a warrior. If all costumes are character-specific, then Solaire enthusiasts will have to main Guardian.
If you’re playing Nightreign, you can go at it solo, or buddy up with friends to form a party of three. However, you cannot be in a party of two, for whatever reason, so you’ll have to convince two friends to join you if you want toexperience the multiplayer in Nightreign.
Elden Ring Nightreign launches on May 30, so there are only a few weeks to go now. It will be available to play on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Despite the multiplatform release and the multiplayer elements, Nightreign will not feature cross-play. There is cross-gen play, though, so PS4 players can partner up with friends on PS5, and ditto with Xbox One and Series X/S.
