Summary
MarvelandDisneysaw the reactions to X-Men ‘97 and gaveSpider-Manthe same treatment. While not quite as critically acclaimed as the animated mutants’ revival, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man has provided a new way to tell Spidey stories in the modern era, and even though a second season is almost certainly still a long way off, season one’s Funko Pops are here.
Well, they’re not technically here at the time of typing this, but they have been revealed which likely means they will be available to buy or pre-order later this week. There are four figures kicking off the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man collection - two for Spidey himself, and another two for a hero and villain that appear in the opening episode and the season one finale, all of which you can check out belowthanks to Funko Pop News.

The two Spider-Man Pops have been chosen to represent the arc Peter Parker embarks on through the 11-episode run. At the start, Peter is working alone. Wearing a makeshift suit that includes goggles and a blue jersey with a spider on it, the corresponding Funko figure has the inexperienced Spider-Man on a translucent stand with a web strand in his hand to make it look like the Pop is swinging.
It Took A While, But Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Pops Are Finally Here
Or At Least They Will Be At Some Point Later This Week
The second Spidey Pop is a lot more reminiscent of the Spider-Man Marvel fans are familiar with. It takes the whole season for Peter to land on the iconic red, blue, and black suit being the one he’s going to wear for the long term. Just like the other Spider-Man Pop, this second one also comes with a transparent stand and a web strand for Peter to swing from, but the pose is a far more confident one.
Joining Spider-Man’s two Friendly Neighborhood Funko Pops are Doctor Strange and the Venom-like symbiote he battles in the season premiere. The Strange Pop is also floating like the two web-slingers, magic at the ready with the orange portals MCU andMarvel Rivalsplayers will be very familiar with attached to each of the figure’s hands.
While the symbiote has to settle for standing on the ground rather than suspended on a stand like the other three figures, it will have something to hold over the rest of the collection. The symbiote figure is a Super Sized Pop, meaning it will likely be around six inches tall as opposed to a regular Pop which is usually a little less than four inches. That makes a lot of sense as, like it does in the show, the symbiote should tower over Spider-Man and Strange.
All four Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Funko Pops should be available to buy from Funko, Amazon, and other Funko Pop retailers later this week. The regular-size Pops will likely be priced somewhere between $12 and $15, while the symbiote, if it follows in the footsteps ofthe Super Size Marvel Rivals Galacta figure, will cost $25.
